Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KS)

Rep. Jenkins' understanding of illegal immigration, according to her website, is that it takes jobs away from American citizens. Instead of "immigration" on her "issues" tab, it is "border security (1)." In other words, Rep. Jenkins sees immigration as a border security problem that left unchecked, will take away American jobs. Never mind the fact most undocumented folks take jobs most Americans don't want ... it seems she needs some education on immigration, but I wouldn't count on her vote.

More information on her immigration votes in NumbersUSA.com:

"Rep. Jenkins cosponsored H. Res 1026, the Bipartisan Reform of Immigration through Defining Good Enforcement Resolution. This resolution, whose main sponsors are Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) and Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-MD), calls for the House to 1) pass legislation mandating the use of the E-Verify system, 2) pass legislation ensuring that America's borders are fully secure, and 3) oppose all amnesty legislation in 2010.

Rep. Jenkins is a cosponsor of H.R. 2406, the Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal Act of 2009. This bill will make sure local law enforcement agencies are reimbursed for the costs associated with incarcerating illegal aliens. Currently, this compensation is made available by the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP). Unfortunately, the Obama Administration's budget for 2010 eliminates the SCAAP program (and the $400 million it receives). The CLEAR Act also recognizes local law enforcement's authority to help enforce immigration law, improves information sharing between local law enforcement agencies and the federal government, and requires the federal government to expeditiously remove criminal illegal aliens. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is the bill's main sponsor."

Based on this info, she is highly unlikely to vote for DREAM act.
