I just remembered yesterday that sometime in the mid 90’s a group of guys came into the house with guns and robbed us when I was a child. I was in the house when it happened. I remember that the police came and my grandmother got sent to the hospital. Technically everybody who was in the house was a victim of an armed robbery, which is a violent crime. Would this be my golden ticket?

Are you talking about VAWA? There is also U-Visa.

You could have adjusted it here if you never left USA.

You are blessed to at least have DACA. Did you apply for AP?

It would be way too risky to apply for AOS. I would still speak to another lawyer.

Yes, I think you would have to wait for another legislation.

You can request from a lawyer to see if they can obtain FOIA.

That would be IJ’s decision.

You have anything to add to the discussion or do you just like talking for the sake of talking?

I did. I am just saying that COR is not automatic. It has to go through a hearing and IJ will decide.

Maybe. Talk to a lawyer about it.

Same how AOS is not automatic and for most part you need to put up a dog and pony show for the adjudicator.

The attorney can be present but normally the IO will ask you directly and attorney will generally only interject if you fuck up or if the IO is out of line.

Ok so an attorney’s correction overrides the beneficiary’s wrong answer? I hired an attorney so he will be present at the interview as well. Thanks for info.

In general IOs treat attorneys like they're air.
