My sister in law submitted her application with a paralegal back in November and we are in the end of January and she has not received a receipt number or anything. She called USCIS and they told her that there is nothing on file. So she called the paralegal and told her that its been happening with lots of applications, has this happened to anyone?

Also, I heard that someone got an approval for 3 years in their renewal if this true?

Did you get application receipts? (I-797)

Well according to what I was told the time they give you after the renewal it is going to be 3 years.

Just received a recipt number from the paralegal but I check it online and it says that there is an error that no such number exists. soooo weird. That's great that they are extending it to 3 years

No she didn't receive and official letter but the paralegal send her a text with the confirmation letter, but when I check the case online, it says that its an error, that no such number exists.

It took about 3 weeks before the website took my receipts.

They are probably processing end of August applications at the moment. Mine was received Aug 26 and was approved on Monday.

I called and they mentioned that. thank you for that info. Mine is September 19th so seems like im about to come up. Looks like its going to be close at this rate :(

Hello! My work permit expires on 1/30/15. In 2 days :/
I applied on October the 6
Biometrics on the 27 and that's it.
I haven't received any updates via text or online.
I've called USCIS 3 times and every time I get a different answer.
First they told me they were behind and yesterday that I should go to my local USCIS to try and get a extension on my work permit.
Now in going go be jobless for who knows how long.
It's frustrating.
I'm disappointed, Mad, ugh..

Does the status change after giving your Bio?
