I am job hunting again and the recruiters ask me if I need any sponsorship, etc. Is it okay if I say no? I always tell them that I an non-citizen and can work for any employer.

Thank God as it was one hell of a ride.
I wish you guys good luck and thank you for your help through this waiting game.

How long does it take for your EAD to come in by mail after you get the "Card is under production update?"

any insight would be great!

Question, when was your bios originally scheduled for? I didn't know you could do a walk in so I waited until the appointment date.

OMBUDSMAN!!!

Anyone else's application is past 120 day process and no status change?

On 1/30/15 I wrote to the ombudsman office about my application hitting the 120 day mark and thus my employment authorization coming to an end. (Ombudsman's receipt notice comes accompained by a 60 day process time frame.)

2/4/2015, the ombudsman office e-mails me that my request has been forwarded to USCIS. (With a 40 day processing time frame on USCIS behalf)

2/5/2015 3pm I receive a text from USCIS that my card was requested for production.

2/5/2015 8pm Receive e-mail my DACA renewal has been approved.

You do not need sponsorship from them to stay since you are requesting DACA on your own. Mark it "No".

COOL!!! Good for you man, over here I have been sitting home since last week. I just told them about my status change online and showed them a screen shot but they told me they want the physical card. :P

So you've been approved already? You're just waiting on the card?

Good question, although the status for deferred action has not changed, I assume if they schedule the card for production means your job permit has been approved.

I was reading somewhere about plenty other cases of having the work permit shown progress before deferred action itself which contradicts USCIS's claim that first is DACA and then is the work permit.

Who knows, they really do not seem to have their game together. Starting from the contradictory statements you get when calling customer service. I mentioned before each time I called I got a different answer that even contradicted the last representative.

trying to be kind, last time I called USCIS I asked the girl (who told me my case was 2 months behind in processing) why last week I was told I was going to get the card by the end of January. She scrambled for a bit and couldn't explain me that.

I only wanted to let her know that since I was told such thing, I told my boss the same. Since there was no card, I looked like a liar.

Hi everyone,

I have two questions.

1. To those of you who have been able to get more detailed information on your case (how far behind processing time it is, the stage that it is in, whether it has been assigned to an officer etc), how did you get the USCIS customer service representative to tell you this information? I have called but they have only told me what I know (pretty much what the "Check your case status" page tells me).

2. To those of you who have reached out to your senator/congressman, can you provide us with a draft of what you sent them? I am going to be reaching out to mine but I am not sure as to what is the best way of showing my need in a brief and succinct way.

Thank you!
