Re: Official 2016 Renewal Thread
Greetings,
Guys please keep this spreadsheet current. I think that this is the most effective way to get a sense of just what the heck it is that is going on. I just want to say that I have, like many of you, done everything in my power to speed up my case. I called multiple times, talked to Tier 1 and Tier 2 people; made multiple service requests; went to an Infopass appointment, reached out the Ombusdman and to my local congressman. I submitted my renewal package 151 days before the expiration date. I am now 24 days away from losing my job. I do want to thank all of you for participating in this forum. Although I am very stressed and sad by what is going on , I am also encouraged by what I witnessed here. I hope that everyone here gets their EAD on time or, if already expired, soon. Best regards |
Re: Official 2016 Renewal Thread
Ok, DACA just approved on 08/08/2016, waiting for EAD.

Re: Official 2016 Renewal Thread
Hi everyone.
My local congressman's office just got back to me with the following: "I reached out to our contact at USCIS Tampa and they advised that your case is under the jurisdiction of the Nebraska USCIS office. I have sent an expedited inquiry request to that office but the Tampa office was able to advise that the delay appears to be back ground check related and your case cannot move forward until that process is completed. I will let you know when I hear back from the Nebraska USCIS and I cannot give you a time frame of when I will hear back." This makes absolutely no sense to me. My case is simple, I have no criminal record or advance parole. Why would it take 4 months to complete a background check? This seems like an excuse for this ridiculous delay. I will lose my job in 6 days and there's nothing I can do. This has beenthe most stressful process ever. |
Re: Official 2016 Renewal Thread
Application received on - 6/9/16
Biometrics scheduled and done on - 7/1/16 EAD experies in Nov. |
Re: Official 2016 Renewal Thread
Praying for more renewals including mine
I know they don't work on weekends but do cases get updated during the weekend? |

Re: Official 2016 Renewal Thread
Good to hear so much activity these few days. Probably a good sign that things are starting to move along. Still annoying that the best conclusion we have is "USCIS works in mysterious ways." -_-

Re: Official 2016 Renewal Thread
The mysterious way is that they switched from paper to electronic processing. Which was supposed to speed up processing, but slowed it down instead.
