If you are only 17, I suggest you finish high school first.

And then go back to your home country before 18, and then apply legally. Chances of DA passing will be very slim in the next 6+ years. I am not trying to make your hope down but I don't see how it gets better with GOP House ruling next 2 years and I don't think Obama can make 2nd term nor Democrats can unite again with new candidate.

Being legal or not was not a problem until I had to fill out FAFSA and find out you get no state financial aid nor private loans because they ask SSN. Also when all your buddies have cars but you can't because no SSN.

If I knew that after you are 18 you get screwed on ban, I would have moved out but I found out when a few months before 19 and it was too late.

At what age do you get the 10yr ban? Also when i graduate HS i will be 18years old and a little over 3months

When you have 18 years and 6 months, the next day you get a 3 year ban

6 months later, you get a ten year ban. Or it might be a year later. But I know the first ban is a 3 year ban.

Why can't your grandma file a petition for your father? and then you?
the worst case is to wait for your sisters turn 18, and file petition for your parent, and then you. but this means 8 + 10s years.

What are you talking about? I lived in Tulsa, OK for half a year in 2005. The police never asked for proof of legal residence. But they do ask for drivers license if you get pulled over.

Won't he have to return to his country of origin for an interview once the application is approved? But who knows, maybe in 10 years it will be easier to adjust status despite being EWI.

No. My sister can file it for my parents and then me, and the process are done here. But she isn't citizen yet, but in a year or tow. however, petition for parents take a long time too. Parent petitions for child, however, is pretty quick.

Sibling petition is long. So the best route is to do it for the parents first.

But don't count me on this. I know for marriage, one case you have to return to the origin and adjust your status there. But other cases, you can adjust your status here while getting married.

I graduated high school in Georgia and attended GPC and got my associate's degree. Im turning 25 in feb. but due to my status, I am going back to GPC again to study nursing. I am currently on F-1 Visa and I've been living in US for 11 yrs now.

I understand how you feel. Georgia is very strict about immigration laws :(
