the Republicans have a point that Trump is willing to give "amnesty" to nearly 3 million Dreamers and not just the 700k DACA peeps. that's a big concession right there from them.

They could give the visa lottery but the fucking black caucus would then oppose the bill only for like 20k visas that go to predominantly black countries. It's so fucking stupid.
Either way, there's nothing that would satisfy cotton enough to get his vote. He's irrelevant in this conversation.

To be fair, the WH did concede and stood up to its base by accepting path to citizenship to be included in any serious deal.

Just a few months ago, citizenship was out of the question.

Wrong. If this had happened, Goodlatte’s bill would have had a path to citizenship in exchange for the right wing orgasm.

Fake concession. The main issue right now is chain migration. Why is legal immigration even part of the conversation? Why aren't Dem pundits talking about the ridiculousness of taking away rights for American citizens that want to sponsor family? Also the whole thing about they are bringing their cousins and uncles is false. You can't even sponsor them, and even sibling sponsorship has a 15 yr backlog.

Yep.

Now they just want end of siblings sponsorship and end of DV lottery.

Which is totally doable.

Since when have they stuck to their Christian values?

Well, that does not sound racist. Nope, not at all.
