I think a year-end Daca solution has a better chance of passing with only 1 month left

Agreed. The time is the issue here. I hope they are not thinking about spilling this into next Congress. Then, it's a non-starter.

But if next 2-3 weeks is the timeline (lol), then, as long as Democrats are open to thinning it down to DACA recipients only (a definitive number), then maybe, just maybe.

Odds, of course, are completely against it.

Is this the one? Sounds too good to be true indeed, let's wait and see.

Dick Durbin is weighing in.

As author of the Dream Act, I applaud every good faith effort to give these deserving individuals a path to citizenship. I’ve been in touch w/ my colleagues & will carefully review their proposal.
I'm determined to do everything to help deliver a Christmas Miracle for Dreamers.

According to Univision, the proposal is for 6 - 7 million people including Dreamers and tps. Also pro immigrant groups plan to travel to Washington for a rally on 12/15, I wish these fakers could stay away for a change, I think rallies do more damage than good, puts spotlight on the undecided gop senators and might make back down.

All indications thus far to me are that a deal is there to be had. Even Dicky Durbin is in the midst of reviewing the details in hopes of a "Xmas miracle for Dreamers." However, again...watch out for big time immigrant organization groups to come hard against this..They are already poised to hold rallies in the coming weeks to ensure status quo continues.

Synema the unlikely hero here...her blue dog status will enrage the far lefties who are against immediate legalization of Dreamers...

Even Gaby Pacheco has posted on fb about this in a seemingly positive tone saying "We must realize that a compromise is hard...but that we are not in a position of power, and that this is America nad how things get done in this Country."

You are right. Also, as long as extreme ends of both sides (left and right) are kept at bay, a Dreamer deal is possible and 10 GOP senators know that they can withstand the backlash from far right.

Truly.
But this is good news - please help all dreamers. If DACA only enrolled 800,000; 2m should cover aged out Dreamers.
