The premise of these bills are always the same. Toughen up existing laws a little bit and give amnesty to immigrants already here.

This approach has failed countless times.
It doesn't provide enough carrots to get Republicans on board.

I don't think it will go anywhere.

If Kamala wins, DACA will stay the way it is.
If Trump wins, DACA will disappear. However, this is the only path in which Congress will take up the issue.
At this point in my life, I would much rather see Trump win to finally get a resolution on the issue than continue living 2 years at a time. I am sure younger Dreamers will disagree with me, but it is what it is.

We will get hate for taking this position Jorge but I will gamble with you and I share your position.

Bottom line: Not worried or fear mongering about who wins.

It required centuries and numerous unsuccessful attempts before humans were successful in flying. Therefore, don't give up hope. I concur with you, however, the difference at this moment is the time, circumstances, and workload. So, let's wait and observe what unfolds.

To achieve a lasting solution, DACA must be addressed no matter who is in power. I completely concur with your viewpoint.

DACA will disappear and you'll be deported to your own country. Have you been living under a rock these last 6 months? Did you not watch the Sunday Trump rally in NY? He's keeping Miller and the worst kind of people in power if he wins.

There is no way dems in Congress is giving Trump any kind of win on immigration if he's elected.

You're blind. Get your head out of your ass.

Old farts in Congress need to stay the fuck out of new immigration legislation. 23 yrs of utter failure from their part.

The public does not support Nazi-regime like rounding of people or pushing them out to exile after living here for 20,30, or 40 yrs. I want to see legislation that is humane and reasonable that regularizes us and our families. Not hate-mongering.

Farm workers, construction workers, are not leaving or being kicked out. Trump didn't do it, and certainly Harris will not do it.

MAGA supporters are terribly misinformed and exploited by the Trump campaign. I don't think he will win.

I think the Supreme Court is the one most likely to end DACA. The main reason the GOP wanted to end daca in the first place was to force Democrats into agreeing to their immigration demands—end chain migration, a merit-based system, and so on; Daca was just the carrot to get them to negotiate. I honestly think Dems were close to breaking during Trump's first term until the SC stepped in and saved DACA.

The Border Security and Immigration Reform Act is an old bill, from 2017. I don't think it has any merit in today's Congress.

I concur. That's the Republican political gambit. Let the Supreme Court do the ugly work and invalidate DACA. Then, squeeze the Democrats for the maximum amount of concessions possible to completely reshape the immigration system.

What worries me is us getting caught in the quagmire from Congress. Congress would dither and no bills gets passed while DACA gets canceled. Then, our work visas expire and we start losing our jobs and livelihoods.

Also, a cynical part of me believes that the Democrats would throw us under the bus. Then, use our misery as a rallying cry for votes and fundraising purposes from all the bleeding heart liberals while providing no concrete solutions to our problems.

Also, they could decide to sacrifice us to protect Diversity visas or some other liberal bullshit like that in the immigration system and try to blame the Republicans instead.

Right now it is a toss-up slightly in Trump's favor

JD Vance was such a great pick for VP

Obliterated Harris's chances after the VP candidates debate

Was just on Rogan obliterating any doubt about him

Extemely well spoken

I will be surprised if Harris wins, to be honest.

But Trump will be good for DACA.
