My exp is 9/4 so I might call and nag along with 50 mil others.

I'm glad you finally got scheduled, but geez, what a mess. There is no way an automated notice should take 4 months to generate. Ridiculous.

Not sure if it'll help or make it worse but the site is also delayed in showing updates I receive via calling USCIS. You can try expediting the service and hopefully make the process move faster from now. Definitely call as much as you need. Good luck!

Have you attempted to call your congressmen/women and/or expediting your request? I have also heard location plays a huge part.

That was a reply that the congressmen received and forwarded to him it seems

Thank you for your inquiry dated August 16, 2016, requesting information about your Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) package.

After careful review of your inquiry, we determined that your issue will be best addressed by the USCIS office processing your case; therefore, we are forwarding your inquiry to the Nebraska Service Center. The referral ID for this inquiry is OVP2301******NSC. The Nebraska Service Center will contact you concerning your case once they have reviewed your inquiry.

I just checked on my case status thru the regular uscis.gov and it looks like they put an Expedite request.

As of August 17, 2016, your request to have your case expedited, referral number OVP230********NSC, is currently not assigned for processing.

I will keep you guys updated on the outcome.

How did you email and what did you state in your email?? This is the first I'm hearing about doing this and I want to try.. thanks for the help!

Yeah now I'm not so sure if it's 'automated'. I got 2.5 weeks until the HR ban hammer comes down so need to keep up the pressure.

Like what everyone's already said, what a fuckery this is, we really need to find out who(m)'s responsible for this shit. It's definitely not the case workers, they're just the worker bees, higher up the chain like appropriations or someone in management, or if they sourced it to a vendor/contracted the tech then they all need to go down.

Here's a funny thought, can you imagine if this type of thing happened to public/gov service recipients who were U.S. Citizens? Media storm and a huge uproar on layoffs due to incompetent gov etc.

Apparently no one raises an eye brow for us migrants.

I have been sending emails to USCIS daily, they change my message and reply with the script. This is hilarious now. Still emailing them.

I'm 4/18 expire 9/1... I might actually see my bio soon. Approval in 6-12 months after.

I have been talking to them (at this point most of the senior leaders and managers know) about this for over a month and half, and they know all the details about my expiration date today. They are terminating me, not putting me on a leave of absence. We've been working on a game plan for getting me rehired once I get the EAD, but I'm just worried about how long it will take to actually get it.

Exact same situation here. They're getting some temporary help while I'm out (terminated) but are assuring me that the day I present my EAD will be my day of rehire. All I can do is trust.

Hey thanks, i have been in contact with congress, senate, ombudsman, tier 2 and so on. A tier 2 actually submitted a request for me On August 17, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number WKD********, was assigned to an officer for response.

But usually from experience they will say their is nothing that can been done until my DACA is approved, also I submitted a request on my DACA on August 2 I believe and I'm waiting for that letter which will basically say the same crap my congress just send me. I guess my only option is to email them directly and see what's up

How stressful this was and if there was anything that I needed to do in my part to help. Try tu put as much info that you can and how the delay is affecting you.
