I think Joe could be convinced with enough zeroes in pork barrel spending for his shithole state.

He must be doing something right for being continually re-elected as a Dem from deep red state.

Joe needs to grow some balls. I hate when the Democrats are in power they are a weak group and don’t do nothing. Look at what Mitch and Trump did. They didn’t give a damn, they found so many ways and loopholes to get it their way, and that’s what the Democrats need to do.

Seriously. Enough playing nice. I see members in the GOP calling on Biden and democrats to unite the country...blah blah blah. After 12 years of their divisiveness, and suddenly they want unity? No, they need to pay, and then we can begin to heal as a nation.

I highly doubt that Biden, Harris, Schumer and Pelosi are just going to sit on the ass and not do anything about DA and/or CRI. I think they are going to try to convince some repubs to join them at first but if they can't then they are going to get creative. They need to do something before 2022 otherwise they run a risk of losing the senate/house and really won't be able to do anything so they have to act fast. I still think getting DACA killed (either by trump or hanen) is the best and fastest way to get something passed.

Relax. Biden will not throw us under the bus, remember DACA was conceived when he was vice president, he loves us.

Congress will wait for the right time before trying immigration. If they push a bill now, then Everyone will say wtf are you doing in the middle of a pandemic. They will turn our supporters against us. This is not going to be an instant process no matter how much we want it to be. The time is extremely important to garner support.

If daca is the end, I say let them try to end it now when Dems are in control of the Gov. If they try when the GOP is in control, we have no defense. Imagine this, if Hanen ended daca, Dems can push for reform in a effort to save 60K essentail worker and kepp 600k daca workers in the work force to preserve the economy. That is a good story that can help gather support.

Yeah but at the same time you shouldn't bank on congress doing something about DACA if Hanen kills it. A situation like this is you trying to unfuck your parachute mid fall.

Dems should not waste any time at all pushing for an immigration bill. A deal will most likely include poison pills, but hopefully these poison pills are not as bad as the ones Trump pushed for. Very progressive orgs will most likely still complain like they did about the Gang of 8 CIR bill. They mean well, but after so much waiting, hearing them complain about any bipartisan deal is just frankly annoying.
