I, too, have all receipts with MSC! I just completed my biometrics yesterday, 2/9/17. Will be anxiously awaiting the interview now!

Good luck!

Once the initial review is complete, your case status will update to 'Case Ready to be Scheduled'. It then depends on the workload of your field office to actually get the interview scheduled.

I just got my BIOS appointment for the 23rd. My applications were received on 1/30/2107. I'm also at MSC.

I have my bios scheduled for Feb. 24th.
My question is when will I need to do a Medical Examination?
Is the medical exam cover by insurance? If not how much is it?
Does it have to been done by a special doctor?

I'm pretty sure you were supposed to submit your USCIS physical with your application.. Most are not covered by insurance but your immunizations might be covered.

You can submit your medical examination with the initial application. You can also take it to your interview (sealed) if not asked for it before as a RFE. The exam is not covered by insurance but your immunizations may be. Cost depends on doctor, you can find a list of USCIS authorized doctors in the link below. When you go, make sure to take your vaccination record to save yourself from taking unnecessary shots.

Like they've said, depends on the Dr. And it's more expensive now because of new requirements. I spent 180$ with the bare minimum done.

Re: DACA to AOS

Agreed. It's at least $100. I paid $138 for mine and I'm in California. I actually called about 5-6 doctors offices from the list on the USCIS site to compare prices. Make sure you have all your vaccines, including this years flu shot!! It makes the process easier. Also, I believe you are suppose to submit the sealed medical exam with your application.

Man you guys are lucky. I got screwed for my physical. I spend over $500 for mine.. My Dr was a bit shady and definitely didn't know much about the physical. But I payed $250 for the initial physical then a bunch of BS followed which led to the $500+ spent.. But I DEFINITELY recommend that you take your immunization records to save money. I'm glad I did.

GUYSSSSS

Our lawyer is about to start preparing our I-130 application!!!!
I've already started the medical exam process. My doctor is waiting for the results of my blood test before he fills out the exam form.

Thank you so much for keeping this thread alive. I so, so, so appreciate everyone who's kept this thread alive with important timelines and information about the process. I read through page after page to learn as much as I can, and hopefully I can help others with my experience, too.

Dang. Definitely seems a bit pricey. I think the most I heard it costing was about $250 when I called around :(

At any rate, glad you got it done. It will be all worth it soon!

it is my understanding that if there is a deportation or removal order on your record, then you can probably do a motion to reopen. My friend did this, and now has a green card. he was also deported. check with an attorney.

Can you please explain me about what your friend did? I came back but i still have the b1 visa with me. I don't know what comes out on their records if i was visa overstayed and cancelled?

Sure, our field office was the Boston Field Office, interview lasted about 25 minutes in total. They interviewed my US Citizen spouse first then I was asked to join the interview. The interviewer asked me our full names, husband's date of birth, if he has any siblings, asked me if I had ever met his family, when last I entered the US (never traveled out since I was brought here as a child). I was also asked details about our apartment, asked how I met my husband, asked whether my husband has ever met my parents and siblings, I was asked their names, I was asked if we had ever taken any trips together. The interviewer asked us to leave some pictures from our photo album and also provide any documents that shows comingling. We had bills with our names on them as well as insurance documents. We were thankfully approved on the spot.
