I try. Just trying to provide some assurance to a fellow Dreamer trying to buy a home.

Give up my apartment and move back in with my parents and sit back and await the ending of DACA, stop trying to start a business or should I also stop pursuing my degree because I may never be able to use it here? Naw, I won't do that. I'm going to live my life to the fullest

Some of you clowns are the same ones who said don't use Advance Parole when it came out, because it's too risky and you won't be let back in the country. Now I'm having to take the longer road to adjustment for listening to those voices. Fuck that, I refuse to make mistakes like that again and look back 5-7 years from now with regrets on what I should have done. LIVE YOUR LIFE PEOPLE!

Nobody is saying drop out of school - an education will work for you here in the states just as much as it will work "back home."

I don't know who gave you the advice to not use AP, but you should have (that is -- if it was before early 2017).

If you're able to save plenty while renting, keep renting and don't move back in with the parents.

There's a huge difference between buying a place five years ago when the future seemed bright and limitless and buying it now with DACA having perhaps months to live.

You just need to be cognizant of possible outcomes - and losing your pants seems to be something that may happen.

Re: Condo purchase

DACA recipients who want to buy a house/condo SHOULD GO AHEAD and buy a damn house/condo! Enough of living in fear. DACA is not going anywhere. You are going to renew indefinitely. If you’re not going to buy a place you’re obviously going to be renting! Why not add another $300-500 to your monthly payment and build some equity and have your own damn place instead of paying your stupid lazy scumbag landlords mortgage.

Whoever told you that about AP deserves a slap across their face. I went out on AP twice and came back both times like a breeze. Matter of fact the second time when I was taken into a separate room upon arrival (normal protocol) there was a lady being interrogated..I started panicking a little and the officer called me up. Took a quick look at the docs and said “Welcome back brah.” That was at JFK.
