Or should I maybe try to get someone to help me?

Do you have any criminal background or anything that you think might make your case complicated? If not you should be fine without a lawyer.

Sent my AOS on 9/8/2016

Just received my NOA's today! Yay!

Good luck to all of you. Hope we have a smooth process.

Background: this is my second AOS. My first time was for an f2a visa , but I got married so I had to withdraw that one. Now I am married to a USC so I got to apply again.

Hey all, here's my interview experience:

Arrived at Mt. Laurel, NJ at 8AM with lawyer. Got called in at 8:35 AM. Asked to tell the truth, I said "I do." Then the interviewing officer asked me to show my passports and ID. Then the questioning began:

When did you enter the US?
In 1995.
Were you inspected?
Yes.
*Opens up medical form*
Why do you have a NYS ID if you live in Jersey?
I haven't changed my ID since I moved to Jersey to go to school.
*I showed him my Princeton University letter of enrollment and school ID*
How did your pop get a greencard?
He was married to a US citizen for several years.
Have you left the states since then?
Not at all. I have a meticulous set of school records to prove it.

Then he proceeded to ask me all the YES/NO questions. Took my Princeton letter of enrollment and asked if he can keep it. Then said, "if there's a visa available this afternoon, I will approve it." We were out in like 10 minutes, although it felt like 5 minutes. He didn't even ask to see any original documents. On my drive back, after 45 minutes I got the "On September 20, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC******" email. I'm a legal permanent resident!!!!AHHHHHH!!!!! I hope I get my green card soon. Oh and my birthday is tomorrow! Off to celebrate and get wasted! Wishing everyone a smooth process as well.
