Re: DACA to AOS

Question,

My lawyer charges 500 dollars to attend the AOS interview. Is it worth it or no?

I don’t think it’s worth it. Your lawyer won’t be able to speak for you anyways. Good luck!

Thanks, that's what I assumed. Thanks the clarification.

As well as if they qualify for 245i.

From my own experience. Worth every penny even if it was a $1.000. Lawyer can clear a lot of things up to the IO. My lawyer actually spoke a lot more then me. You never know who you are going to get as an IO. Get that piece of mind, be confident, wear a suit and tie, prepare well with your lawyer (He/She should be preparing you for the most toughest and challenging type of interview so at the the actual you will be well prepared and ready to ace it.

Idk why but I feel hella nervous now. Lol I got my EAD/AP COMBO back in April. I have nothing to fear though. My and my wife have been dating since late 2011.

What field office did you apply to? I’ve been waiting for my interview date for 431 days and counting....

Newark NJ? Yeah, my FO is SF and apparently it’s the slowest on the country. Literally. What’s maddening though, is that on i m m i h e l p forum, there are people with their application submission dates months AFTER mine, and they got interview letter. So it seems like there is no chronological order in processing applications... at this point it seems like the pile just sits there and someone closes their eyes and just randomly picks one to process. :/
