Well, to me, it seems like it all boils down to this. Does Rubio really WANT to pass the bill or is he just motivated by political gains? Does Obama WANT to pass the bill? If they both want to do it, there is nothing in this world that should stop them from getting the votes. You are what you think and if you're not even trying to gain something, you won't. So, lets just cross our fingers and hope they are completely satisfied by using this issue politically and are willing to let it go. I don't see why this bill shouldn't pass. It has positive vibes from major individuals such as Hutchinson, Kyl, McCain, DURBIN, King etc.

Sure the bill doesn't give what we want fully, but it has a better chance of passing then anything so far. The American political system is riddled with structural flaws that prevent often the moral and right thing from being completed (Unless it's neocon interventions in foreign countries for "humanitarian reasons"). It's near 11 pm here in Australia and I just had the best day in my life. Freedom is a drug, and it is a drug that everyone should be allowed to consume. Better to live in freedom again then in uncertainty, that is what Aussie has taught me.

Hey man. I'm sure this compromise DA will pass. It has to. It has supporters from all over this country and not to mention the blessings of Dreamers who have left just like you. All the right people are involved so far including Durbin. Let's hope this is the end of the road man..we're all tired as hell. :-|

It's not a matter of if but a matter of when.

The problems is that it might take 9 or even 10 years until any of us can benefit from it.

Most of us won't because we'll be too old.

Common man. What do you mean 9-10 years? If it passes this year, we'll be able to drive, work, travel etc. What else do you want? I'm sure its going to happen this year man. Nobody here can wait for 9-10 years..

the lame duck session DA had us waiting 13 years before we could get a Green Card iirc.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I don't think it will pass. Democrats won't vote for it because it won't give undocumented students a path to citizenship. Like other people have mentioned here, we, the Dreamers, have been used and will be used as a political tool for politicians to get people riled in order for them to get votes. Do you really think Rubio cares about us? I really doubt that. He's just trying to get more votes and hopefully more notoriety in order for him to get the Vice President seat and maybe something else in the future like the presidency.

With that being said, there might be one or two congressman who actually care about undocumented immigrants problems, but I really doubt that the majority care.

"It does not create a path to citizenship" typical TV brainwashed bro.
