If Roberts is writing the decision chances are he sided with the libs. He did the same for the healthcare ruling. I can also see it being a 6-3 decision with Gorsuch joining Roberts. Also someone please clarify that the lawsuit isn't challenging if DACA is constitutional but rather if Trump ended it the right way?

I can see Roberts stating that POTUS has the power to end DACA but for this lawsuit he didn't end in the right way. That would allow SCOTUS to side with DACA and ultimately put the power back to end it on Trump. Trump can then end it the right way that won't trigger challenges. This is one of the reason he didn't end it the right way, he wants SCOTUS to end it for him so they can take the blame.

I think it's possible, this random person on twitter agrees with you

@Comedyunism

With Kennedy gone, Roberts is the swing vote and sides with the liberals occasionally. The fact that it’s not one of the more right judges writing could signal a 5-4 split with Roberts joining the liberals. He’s written opinions for that split before.

Even If we win the decision they still won't leave us the fuck alone, that loser Texas AG's lawsuit is around somewhere

And that would be good for us because Trump wouldn’t do anything during an election year and he has enough on his plate right now. But then again, we could be used as scapegoats and as a deflection :?. I am still optimistic *fingers crossed* I don’t think Trump would want to end it at this time if this was the outcome.

Nah, I believe Trump will end DACA if given the chance. He needs a bone to throw at his base to appease them, now that the economy is tanking and we're likely heading to a recession. The economy was his strong playing card for re-election and that's quickly folding.

Also, don't forget that racist prick Stephen Miller is still the puppet master behind Trump's immigration policies and he'd have us all deported without even blinking an eye.

And also don't forget Trump ran on a promise to build the wall and end DACA on day 1 of his presidency back in 2016. He hasn't exactly been trying to woo Latinos or immigrant communities in his 4 year in office. He ain't about to start now.

Trump wants to end DACA but he wants the SC to take the fault for him. If SC rules against Trump he won't end DACA. He will get killed in regards to all those nurses, doctors, first responders that are DACA recipients who are helping out during this crisis. Besides the trumptards are some of the stupidest ppl out here. I wouldn't be surprise if most of them start spraying Lysol and eating tide pods to prevent getting the virus. Trump can just tell his minions that he ended DACA and built a 1000 ft high wall and the trumpsters will believe him.
