First of all, we're not in the 90's anymore, unfortunately :(

Second of all. LOL @ renewing passport. That's practically impossible to do in the India Consulate. They are too nit-picky and paper-work whored up in their own world. You would probably need 9 bagillion affidavits from my Country, and all that shamwow, plus a green card, plus some other crap, so I'm not even going to bother.

3rd. Dunno what state you're in, but... here in New York, if you don't even have a Social Security #, it's pointless even going to the DMV.

Lucky for me it's pretty easy to renew passports from my home country. Came in handy when I turned 18 and 21 etc.

And I'm in California, we can't get driver's licenses without SSN either, but my friends know my situation and are decent enough to give me rides whenever we go anywhere.

I've been here for 15 years and surprisingly, I don't really feel it yet. Maybe once I get my license and start working I'll feel it..

Been here for around 12 years, becomes 13 in November. I am happy that we got this kind of relief because honestly I don't think I've even begun living the life I'm supposed to live yet. I'm 25 and was not able to go to college because FL sucks and charges out of state tuition which is ridiculous. Only have had few jobs here and there with terrible pay of course and my family can now begin to be helped by me and my brother once we get our work permits. I am so tired of living a life where there is basically no social life, you stay behind and people go on to succeed and you have to live as if you're almost poor because there is no good jobs out there for someone in our position. The people that have been able to go to college should feel very lucky because at least now that you get DACA you'll have a chance to use your degree and get a nice paying job. Anyway, I can't wait til I can feel like a normal person who can drive and work.

23 years! I arrived when I was two. It feels great to finally be able to do things in the country that I consider home.
