Cornyn is a no

Realistically speaking I don't see how we even more than 5 Republican senators on board.

Cornyn, this preak, as usual pretends he wants to want to help daca and then backs down.

Most likely, yes. But we should not expect over-enthusiastic endorsement from Republicans. They have a political calculation to do here. As long as we have 10 at the end, remaining 40 can hate the bill as much as they want :)

With the cover fire of omnibus bill and border security / asylum provisions, and half a dozen Reps retiring, we may get 10 of 'em. The core issue here is - do we have enough time left?

Cornyn would be a really important vote to get 10

Trust me, it's a tactic to get more concessions. Texas is in a tough situation, they want lots of border security.

My guess is they want title 42 to be permanent, not 1 yr and "wait and see"

Doesn’t really matter if they are trying to pass this bill during lame duck session. Warnock would still vote regardless.

Cornyn only ever spoke about helping Daca, not dreamers as a whole.

I agree, I literally looked through the list of senators, and could not find 10 that would vote yes. The most was 6 and that was generous.

Gut feeling, they're either going to give up or settle for just extending daca.

Cornyn is a two face, always play both side, voice support for dreamers but never ever vote yes on any Dream Act bill.

In a way it does bc lindsay graham at one pt wanted to know the outcome of this runoff before committing to immigration issues.
