That's the beauty of competition.. If the price is too high for you, go to a different lawyer that can give you a better price. :) congrats btw

Thank you, she had a flat rate of 2000.00 plus all the filing fees . That darn I-485 is $985 I -430 is 480 plus biometrics again $85 and a host of other forms for USCIS which have no fees attached. I wish I could say we were planning for this day,but who knew. I guess I say that because when CIR passes be prepared because the Gov't is gonna have some serious fees in place. I am going to forgo collage which is an out of pocket expense and put all my cash into this process.
Funny thing is we have gone to nationality service centers in the pass and they would charge $330/form unfortunately they are waiting to see if they will take on these type of cases ironically they have a LGBTQ group for immigrants to work on asylum cases go figure.

Well I've recently learned that I have to have a physical by a civil service physician who is approved by USCIS these exams range from 200-500 bucks depending on your immunization record..I really want this process to start but I'm looking at 1480 + these Dr's fees before my attorney's fees..I'm figuring at least by the end of Sept.I can start this process..

I would gladly play those fees for a GC :) count your blessings my friend, that's a good expense, we all would take it in a heart beat. :)

I agree, I would even max my credit cards (in case I had) in order to make this happen. It is an investment. Good luck!

We gathered our evidence, life insurance policies, bank statements,a boat load of photos, and other stuff & filled out our forms...well we showed our attorney our evidence & she said this is strong but I want you to get more she explained USCIS is looking for anything to reject you and it doesn't help that my partner of 8 yrs is 15yrs older than me..lol..we both made a few mistakes on the forms which she corrected as well as our letters from our friends..she really stressed that u leave no ambiguity in any evidence submitted..I am going for my medical exam on Monday, emailing more evidence and hopefully in the next 2 weeks packet will be filed..:?:
I will keep u all posted..
