Looking at that chart, i do feel more optimistic that we may have enough votes.

But something needs to be voted on and democrats to not f it up by adding more irrelevant things to the bill. Also never know w Republicans always being dicks

I'm not sure what to expect really.

It's Dec 1...and the only thing I have seen officially is that Thune said a DACA fix isn't happening...although he is probably a party pooper no vote anyway.

What could be done now?

Don't they go on a long vacation soon?

Original Dream Act back in 2010 was voted on December 9th or 10th if my memory serves me correctly. Obviously it didn’t pass but we do have couple of weeks here.

I do hope all this silence about DACA means there are some internal discussions happening between both parties, but this is politics so i feel pessimistic that nothing serious is going on.

Still remember that heartbreaking day. We’ve been waiting too long

Hoping for the best for all of us.

I dont think it's going to be a stand-alone bill. Rather, they will attach it to the year-end bills.

This is cruel and disrespectful that they wait until the last minute at fucking Christmas to tell immigrants that they are scrambling to 'help' - and this from Democrats. My state reps and Sens are all yes, but Sen. Murray, who is 2nd in line for the presidency in case the need arises and sits in the ed, labor committee, doesn't negotiate this proactively. Durbin needs to deliver or hand it to another Senator.

They believed immigration would have cost them senate and house seats. Since we cannot vote, we get moved down the list of priorities. That is why gay marriage was ahead of us.

I am fine as long as we do get an opportunity, position in line does not matter at the end of the day.

So.... how many of you, instead of typing on this old ass forum, are writing to your reps and senators right now?

I for one is appreciative of Dick Durbin for continously fighting for us. He’s really the only one. F the Democrats and Republicans.

Lol that's pretty obvious, but I am glad you are appreciative of his efforts.
