cities in mexico vary, obviously its safer closer to where all the central govt employees work, but i wouldnt call it normal at all, we might of gotten numb to it but by no means is it normal, even gadaffi and osama got a much nicer death than some of the things going down in mexico right now, u guys remember that dude whos face was stiched to a soccer ball? or those 2 ppl in laredo killed for merely moderating a chat?

next time some stooge is going on and on about how awesome these last 10 years of invading countries has been, and how were bringing freedom, of course it wasnt for the oil and bases, you can ask why the US isnt rushing in to do anything about 'saving' mexico just shipping guns to them knowing what theyll be used for as things where going on,

My husband finally got fed up and left. Dream Act wasnt going work anynore for him anyway- he has gotten too old for it. Also, I need to make $27k a year to petition for him. Thats not happening anytime soon. Then a blessing happened. When he got back to Brasil he found a job at a school teaching English. He is making such good money. Our situation is different though. He has family to help him out over there and my inlaws have an apt that has just been sitting, empty. So he has a place to live and everything is working out great. I know not everybody is this lucky. But this life of struggling and waiting isnt neccessary if you have the support. The US isnt the only place there is.. Luckily in our situation Brasil's economy is booming.

The reason why the US is flocked by immigrants, legal or other wise, is the opportunities available. Some may think they're not given due compensation on their jobs, but for most immigrants, the few dollars they get feeds the whole family back in their countries.
