So wait there are people waiting since February and then there are others who submitted later that have been approved? So I guess playing around with the case numbers online doesn't do much since they can vary.

Looks like #s are all over the place. Not sure if IOE numbers are in order like the old service center specific ones or if the processing is just out of order.

Do you guys think we can ask for a tier 2 supervisor? Or some one higher with the tier 2 department?

Update: Got to talk to a tier 2 today. After looking into my account, she said that my case is being reviewed right now by an officer, so I shouldn't worry too much. She also said that some companies do allow for folks to work with the expired EAD and the receipt that says that I've mailed my application for renewal.

When did you submit your application? I applied in February and haven't heard from them since my biometrics in March

This makes me feel a bit uncertain. I could continue working if this is the case but that's a big IF. I wouldn't want to be penalized, yet it seems to come from the mouth of someone at USCIS. Too bad recording a phone call is illegal.

It is the responsibility of your employer to ask for your new permit. If they don't ask, you are not required to tell them. They are the ones that get fined, not you. It depends on your employer, some of them check often and some don't even keep track. You might be able to fly under the radar if they are not checking.

Flying under the radar makes me nervous because unlike before, USCIS has info on me. I think everyone's fear is them running some sort of check and noticing a payroll company paying you for months I wasn't supposed to be working.

Response to the e request on 07/15:

According to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records, this petition/application was approved and it has been sent to production. Your case will be processed in order based on the approval date. If you do not receive the document within 30 days please contact us again.

I was traveling and came home hoping to find my EAD but nothing.
Today I called USCIS and they could not see the approval. Gave me the same script as the others have shared.

I am hoping it will come in the mail soon. I have an info pass appt end of the week.
