This is completely true. I went and then can't do sh1t. I was upset because i don't see a point in having such appts. He basically said i have to wait for them to response. After that I started to be a bit pushy asking what are the next steps since my EAD expires in less than a month. I asked if I could make another appt and he said yes, and that if they haven't response by then that they could email the service center but that it would take another 2 weeks for them to response. This is all BS. As for interim EAD he said they don't exist. That the San francisco center stopped issuing them 7 years ago. I have doubts that we are going to get renew on time. I hope I could keep my job.

Have any applications been rejected for being sent prior to the 150-120 day recommended threshold? I probably should have sent my application 6 months before the permit expiration date.

By the looks of it, it really seems like there'll be many more lapses in EADs. I was going through any news articles about this and I stumbled upon a couple articles from April/May 2015 that stated that there were about 11K applicants that had their permits expired and were waiting on the USCIS for a decision.

This is so unfair to everyone one of us. Some people have mortgage/car/bill payments to make, others depend heavily on their employer-provided insurance and it's all going to be put on hold because they couldn't get it together and provide for the mass application renewals. Damn.

Very true if I lose my job I could potentially lose my health ins. I really need my health ins. I'm on dialysis due to end stage kidney failure, I'm currently waiting for a kidney transplant for the past 9 years :(

We can always do a phone call campaign to Durbin and other senators who are dream act champions. If enough of us make them aware of what is going on, maybe they can push the issue to the director of homeland services. Right now, I don't think most people are aware of what's going on.

It's strange that for the Nebraska Processing times that for I-765 is at a later date than I-821D when we know these are filed and approved at the same time:

I-821D
Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Renewal February 4, 2016

I-765
Application for Employment Authorization Based on an approved, concurrently filed, I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (c)(33). March 3, 2016

Welp, I don't know about ya'll, but I'm ready to start making some noise to draw some attention to this foolishness and incompetence on USCIS' part. Who's willing to start blowing up some senators and representatives??? And any other officials that we can.... even Mr. And Mrs. Obama.

I cannot fathom how it is acceptable for them to operate like this. This is not a joke. Peoples' LIVES are in jeopardy here. It's not as though one or two will expire, we're talking about THOUSANDS. I don't know what course of action to take just yet, but I'm definitely going to try to find out. This #%*! is beyond ridiculous.

Yes, though I don't know how accurate those are.

yes, yes... start making some noise.

Need i remind you that we're on a Executive Order, and like your drivers license its a privilege to be here as we are, not a right.

This is an election year also. If you do your research they're on February 8th for renewals.

prepare for the worse.
