I'm looking for good movies that make you take a deep breath when it's over.. Like when you were a little kid..

Anybody know of any good zombie, vampire, or alien movies??

I'm also looking for movies about the future..

the movie with Nicolas Cage called 'Knowing' is a great one; At the end you're like "WTF"

Futuristic movies that I found to be interesting and cool are:

1. BLINDNESS *more present than futuristic*
2. THE HUNGER GAMES *It's gonna be a movie in like 2012, lol; But the fuck*** book is great !!*
3. and obviously BLADERUNNER. Classic movie. Can't go wrong with that.

Ugh I hated Blindness, but if you want a raping WTF movie there you go. Mission to Mars is a personal favorite alien movie.

District 9 was an amazing alien movie.

28 days later/28 weeks later were good zombie movies.

Interview with a vampire was a good vampire movie

And Soylant Green is a movie made in 1973 about the future.
Also Planet of the Apes is a futuristic movie.

Rec was amazing, its kind of a zombie movie. It is defiantly one of the best movies out there. Rec 2 is great too but I don't remember it leaving me with that wtf feeling.

If you want a great vampire movie watch "Let the Right One In." It's the Swedish movie that's based on the same titled book and was also made into a Hollywood movie titled "Let Me In" after much critical success of the Swedish film. I've never seen the Hollywood version but I heard it's also a good but different film from the Swedish counterpart.


Oh don't you forget about the Twilight movies....LOL jk

I would highly recommend the following

1.Moon-has a really good twist
2.Man from Earth-About a man that is said to be 14,000 years old, its great.
3.Priest-had awesome vampire lore in it. Great action.
4.Sunshine-the sun is dying, so Earth sends a crew of people to re start up the sun or all humanity is dead. Great also, highly underrated.

The Walking Dead tv show 6 episodes only will be back in fall best show on tv imo.

I agree, REC was awsome, so was the second one. Do not watch Quarantine which they say is the same, but it sucks compared to REC.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys.. Unfortunately I've seen all of those movies being the movie freak that I am and having 24 hrs of free time a day...

28 days was pretty good, so was dawn of the dead, have not seen 28 weeks yet. (there are still scenes from Dawn of the Dead that I recall, not really scary scenes but more like wtf scenes)

I would also recommend that if you are going to see a movie that was a remake of an older version, just watch the older version, it does not matter how much technology they use on the newer re-makes they are just not the same, somehow they suck more than the originals, I have not really found a good re-make except maybe Ocean's Eleven, but that is not what you were asking for. (based on a movie by the same name that was black and white, the original Ocean's Eleven was pretty good however, its does not fool you as being realistic and I reckon that would be the case with scary movies, but, they are good none-the-less)

28 weeks later was also very good.. I can't wait for 28 years later... I also can't wait to see that new Planet of the Apes movie that is coming out the first one was really good..

Have you seen They Live? Its about aliens, got a sick ending, and one of the best fight scenes.

You should see the movie "Felon". I saw it on youtube and it was a pretty damn good movie..if you are going to look it up on youtube just search for "Felon part 1"
