Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

I had no idea that it was so sensitive, so I had applied lotion two hours beforehand. Washed my hands thoroughly. The lady kept redoing them, and she didn't seem happy at all. There was one finger in particular that the machine kept saying reject to, and she said she'd have to send it like that. Anyone else have problems with the fingerprints, and if you did, did it all turn out alright anyways? Did you get accepted?

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

All my finger prints were perfect except for my left pinky when she rolled my finger the machine rejected it, she said it was fine, other than that no problems.

She mentioned my hands were sweaty, but that was because I was nervous but she just wiped it down.
Real nice people

Mine were all good, for some reason she redid a couple of them. She said, "your prints come out very dark, I like that" then she smiled, I think she just wanted to keep on holding my hand.

Mine technician too.
She was too nice.

My technician never said a word. She just grabbed my hand. She had to re-do all my fingers twice. Hmm...

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

To my surprise no. One of my fingers was cracked and dried. I think the guy had to do that one twice but everything went well.

I was even expecting them to send me another notice to do my biometrics again because of that finger.

I had a cut on my pointer finger, and she had to do some of my prints couple times. In the end though everything came out clean.

Mines were all good. The technician was very friendly also.

My technician was so hot. My fingerprints are weird and he had to go over them a couple of times. I was happy to have him hold my hand lol.

Damn you guys only got finger printed? They took my toe prints too

The technician kept telling me I was too tense. Other than that she made no small talk.. I was in and out of the ASC in 5 mins.

I have small hands, and my pinky fingers were giving the guy problems. They kept getting rejected. The print for my right pinky was approved, but the left one was rejected. He sent anyway, and there were no problems.

Maybe your print don't come out because you might be a vampire....lol I am kidding! I went through the same thing when I was redoing my passport and many of my friends reported the same experience with uscis so it might be just nerves or excitement.

Real nice people

See, mine was nice to her co-worker, but she wasn't too happy at all. She kept wiping my hand and that actually made it worse. Guess she was frustrated.

Thank you! That makes me feel better. Hopefully it was just that machine that was a pain.

hahaha. Well I do have trouble sleeping :p and yea, I was hoping it's just because I have that kind of luck with machines. Machines hate me

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

I had to scan my right pinky like 10 times because the machine wouldn't accept it... But overall it was fairly quick and easy

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

Mine was a Lady I wouldve prefer a male. ;) Nway she was nice but did not say a word during the process, she kept scanning my fingers specially my right hand like 10 times each finger. She kept rubbing them with a wet towel and Althought i thought my fingerprints were coming really cute in the screen i guess that was not enough until the machine finally went green then she'd do the other fingers.

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

I'm a little worried about this too. Each finger had to be scanned 4-5x the first time. After she scanned my right hand and left hand, she scanned 2 fingers on my right hand again. She mentioned that my prints just didn't want to take.

But I imagine she would have stayed there all day until she got them right. There was no one waiting after me.

Same here. I feel like there could be a connection between how accurate our prints are and our wait time for approval. if there is, i'm not getting approved until next year..

Aww, I know how you feel but we have to stay positive. I like to think that since our technicians had us re-scan our prints multiple times that they made sure to get it right before sending them to the FBI.

You like SHM also? I bought my ticket for their last tour show in NY.

And back on topic, I dont think I had any trouble but they did everything twice but it seemed like it was supposed to be that way. And Real nice people too wished me good luck :D

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

yup, i had the same problem. never had that problem before because i have been live scanned several times and it was alright. i'm thinking their machine is a lot more sensitive. but we spent 15 minutes on my fingers. my right pointer and middle fingers were the problem because they are fading. i'm a nursing student so we wash our hands a lot and tons of antibacterial soap so it wipes off my finger prints. hope everything went alright with it...

Did anyone else get asked to submit to a full body pat down? Or was that woman just messing with me.

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

Before I went in to get my biometrics done, I stopped by the Mcdonalds inside Walmart to get something to digest. I washed my hands really good with soap, but the machine is very sensitive and picked up some of the grease from who knows where. The guy had to keep wiping my fingers, he just kept going: "Oh no." *wipe*, "no, no no no", *wipe*, "Oh nouuuuuuuuu," *wipe*, "okay, we are done :D."

For future reference, do not eat anything greasy before you go in for fingerprints (future biometrics DACA applicants).

That's how mine was! except she was more like "oh no..." "this is not good" and kept wiping. And then when she wiped, it got worse! The last ones seemed alright picture-wise, but the one said reject even though the fingerprint seemed clear on the screen, so I can't go by that. Oh, well, it's out of my hands now (unintentional pun)

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

i had a few rejected ones as well, but she didn't say anything about them.
i might have missed something though bcuz she did start talking to me really fast in Spanish and looked at me like i was crazy when i stopped her and said "sorry, i don't speak Spanish". smh

Re: Anyone else have problems with the fingerprinting machine?

I was kind of scared that when I was getting my prints taken, an alarm was gonna go off and red lights were going to start flashing everywhere and people were gonna be asked to evacuate....and that they were going to tell me that I was wanted by Interpol.
