The Six Month Club

The purpose of this thread is for dreamers who have entered six months and how they decide to move forward, service request, phone call to the congressman, etc. and if this brings about a LUD text alert or an approval.

I'll be an involuntary member the 6 month club tomorrow. This whole waiting way longer than everyone else thing makes me want to go skydiving... without a parachute.. over a volcano..

I'm just going to keep working shitty 1099 jobs & saving up for school until something happens :(

Well, I'm in the same boat. filed my E-request yesterday online, i tried doing it on the phone but the guy told me DACA cases cant do it. I was so confused, i think the guy was either new or a racist lol. I really hope this is my month. I think it would of been better if I did it on the phone. oh well :(

Quick question folks. I'm joining the club in 8 days and will file an e-request. For the members here who already filed the e-request online, what do you put in the zip code field? My home zip code or the zip code we sent it to? i.e. Chicago, IL filing address. Thanks much!

Hey guys. I had a quick question. I reach my 6 month mark on Wednesday.
The E-request that you guys talk about, Is it the same thing as a service request ?

Do you have a pending case or you had one! I believed that could be the reason! I have another pending case with USCIS as well. it could be a reason why our case is processing for such long time!

Anyone on board is on similar situation??

Yeah I had a case before too. It was along time ago so I'm not sure of the details but It was closed.

Re: The Six Month Club

Sadly, I'm in this club too. :( I contacted USCIS a few days ago because a rep last month told me to call back after 25 days if I haven't heard anything. So the rep from a few days ago told me to call back today since today would be the over the 6 month mark and they will be able to send a service request. Well I spoke with two different women today and they both told me that they would not send the service request and they also gave me a speech saying the approx timeline is 4-6 months but it could be more, blah, blah, blah. The first one made me cry and when I spoke to the 2nd one I asked her to transfer me to a level 2 rep. She tried to get me to give up saying that they would tell me the same and gave me some bull excuses but I said I would hold to speak with someone. So I waited to speak to someone for almost an hour and thankfully he sounded Hispanic and was really nice. So he submitted the service request and said that my target date is 3/15. (Hopefully I'll get an answer before then) But I wonder if I can/should submit the ombudsman request too? I'm almost positive the service request is just going to say to keep waiting. But I want to follow the chain of escalation so if/when I write to the ombudsman at least I can say that I tried all the other ways to get an answer on my case status. Sorry I wrote so much but that's how lengthy and time consuming these USCIS issues are. I hope I get an answer. *crossing my fingers*

I can't believe it's been half a year. I'm losing precious time!!

Yeah, I had one back in the summer of 2011. Got caught by border patrol in San Diego with having no visa in my foreign passport.

That case was "administratively closed."

I thought it would process faster since i received an A# after that but over my 6 month mark now.

I wanted to call USCIS today too but after knowing that, I don't wanna cry! Haha..

Maybe we do have to call to make ourselves known or maybe it won't even matter.

I have Final Order of deportation, I did not go for my court hraring date. I was just traveling with expired id and got caught at the airport. I have no criminal back ground and i droped out of high school, so I did online high school diploma after I heard about DACA. This is my story. I do not know they even gonna accept my online high school diploma? any one else with online diploma?

Thanks my friends.

You guys should email the CIS Ombudsman, she certainly helped my case get approved. I was in the same position as you guys, I got my approval 2 days after the Ombudsman replied with " USCIS is actively adjudicating your case" .

Did you do that after all the other suggestions they had you do (calling USCIS, etc?)

I'm probably going to be joining this club in 2 months. Seems like as it has been stated before this club is perhaps for people who were detained by border patrol cause I remember spending a night in a cell 12 years ago lol

Hit the 6 month mark on Monday. Wonder if it'll make a difference whether I call or my lawyer calls to file the service request.
