DACA and Buying a House

Hey guys,

Do we qualify for first time home buyer loan as DACA beneficiaries? I am planning to save a lot next couple years so I can hopefully buy a house but I am wondering if we can get first time home buyer loan.

Yeah, make sure you build up your credit though.

Yes we technically do qualify! It's just finding a bank that's willing to give you a loan because most banks won't consider DACA/nonpermanent residents since we're considered 'riskier'. But along as you have a strong downpayment, steady income 3x the mortgage payment, and good credit, you can still make a good case if they have doubts.

And most importantly, alone you might not be able to buy it, you will need a USC cosigner

DACA does not keep you from applying for a home loan. Yes, you are eligible and can apply. For more information, check out https://www.facebook.com/DreamerFinancing and www.DreamerFinancing.com

Home loans for DACA (Dreamers) with as little as 3.5% down payment.

You won't need a co-signor if you make enough income to afford the monthly payment.

Yes, with DACA permit you are eligible for both conventional and FHA loans. Requirements vary by lender and some lenders will not accept DACA. Here are a few resources:

I don't qualify because I make too much money with my fiance.

I think buying a home is least of our worries right now.

Oh this is actually my area. I'm in the mortgage industry!

Yes, DACA beneficiaries do qualify.

I've processed numerous, upwards of hundreds, of DACA recipients getting loans. It's actually part of my job to find out the residency of borrowers.

With all due respect, I though you were married by civil already like you stated in a previous post.

Right now with the Trump effect, buying in Mexico would not be such a bad idea IMO.

No disrespect but I wouldn't buy in Edo. Mex. because as I understand crime rate is high there . just my opinion.

I agree, when I was there, everything was different.

Much of my family has moved to Cuernavaca. Looks like a nice town. If I get deported I will probably move there.

Thank you all for helping us share and spread the word. Even after the election, we are still able to help families with DACA buy a home.
