38 days and NO BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT

Hey guys this is my time line for DACA Renewal
Feb 19 package sent to USCIS (Express Mail)
Feb 22 - USCIS Received Date
Feb 25 - Received I-797, notice of action for I-821D and I-765

It's been more than 30 days and I have not gotten my biometrics appointment 😭😭
I am getting really concerned, why are they taking so long to schedule an appointment.

Is anyone going through this too, or has gone through this? Any tips on what I can do. I called uscis yesterday and they put a service request. They told me to wait 15 for a response, but they are taking for ever to schedule my appointment. Any thoughts??
Thanks!!

Follow the instructions from the Notice of Action letter to make an account on the USCIS website. Some of the Biometric letters are digital now and your might be the case. Once you make the account check for additional documents and you might see the Biometrics appointment for you to print. I just hope is not too late for you.

I never got that letter in the mail, and I'm not able to check my status on uscis. When I enter my receipts in the website it says that it is not a valid receipt number. I don't know what else to do. I called yesterday and spoke with an agent, she requested me to do a service request, took my information and told me that if don't hear from them in 15 to give them a call back. If there was an appointment set up wouldn't she be able to see it?

When does your daca expire? Did you do it your self or a lawyer do it?

My daca expires on towards the end of July 2016. I applied by my self. Same way as I did on my initial daca

Re: 38 days and NO BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT

Hey I'm a new applicant for DACA and didn't receive my biometrics letter, either.

I sent my package on Feb. 2nd and received NOA on Feb. 8th.
I called after 45days as USCIS rep. told me to when I called them after 30 days.
I got to talk to 2nd tier of the rep. and he told me the average time of getting an appointment these days are 30 - 60 days.

Isn't it crazy?

I saw everyone getting their's within a month and this is ridiculous...

He checked my status and told me my appointment hasn't set up, yet.
I guess I'll have to wait around for another month or so...

You can call them after 45days and if they still couldn't find your case, they will transfer you to the next level of rep. who can look into the case further.

Did you ever put in a service request? I put one in when I spoke with the CSR. I hope it doesn't take long because my daca expires on July. I wonder why they are taking so long in just to put in an appointment. Keep me updated if you get your biometrics appointment. I wish you the best on getting your DACA approved, that feeling is priceless :)

I just did after reading your reply :-o

It got me very nervous for waiting this long, since I've been looking at everyone's timeline way before applying initial DACA.

I'll keep you updated!
Fingers crossed for both of us :)

On my initial application my biometrics appointment was on December 2013, I had to wait 7 months to get approved, but each case is different. Total time from start to finish was 9 months. Just be patient :)

So here's my update.

After the initial E-request, I received an e-mail saying that it takes more processing time than the usual and I should get a letter in the mail once the appointment has been scheduled. That was April 15th.

Since my initial call to the USCIS was on Mar. 22nd, I decide to call again today (Apr. 26th).

What they told me was since my e-request's response was made on Apr. 15th, they can't provide me any further action until 30 days later of previous response.
So I need to call back on the 16th of May.

I'm going nuts here...
I received NOA on Feb. 8th and it's almost been 80 days and still waiting...

I've never heard of any cases not getting their appointment letter for this long time of period... :-(

That's exactly what happened to me. I had to wait 30 day 's to put in a service request. I suggest u do that. Once you get your biometric appointment scheduled you will get the notice to create an account.

Hey,

It's exactly been 90 days as of Mother's Day.
Still waiting... I called USCIS again last week to talk to the 2nd tier and same answer.
They don't see anything scheduled for me, yet.
And I have to wait another 3-4weeks to put in ANOTHER e-request.

I have no idea why it's taking this long when everyone else got theirs' w/i month or so.

I just keep praying that the letter'd be in my mailbox tomorrow...:(

So here's my update, again.

I called CS for the 3rd time within 95 days.
They transferred me to the 2nd tier and the representative checked if anything has scheduled for me and couldn't find it (obviously...).
She said that she put a service request on her end and I should received the letter in mail no later than May 28th.

And I hope it does... :-?

Re: 38 days and NO BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT

I sent my renewal via Express. They received it on the 12th of May. Then over the weekends I received a letter telling me to make an online account since USCIS is going digital not I guess. I made an account and saw that 2 days after acceptance they gave me an appointment date for biometrics. It was kinda fast for me since the center is a state away. Anyways, if you get the email try to make an account ASAP. My appointment is the first week of June. If not, call!! 30 days more of waiting seems too long. It should be fast since this is just a renewal.

I just hit the 30 day mark today, not sure how they prioritize based on the expiration date/receipt date but I sent an online inquiry just in case anyways. Mine's set to expire on first week of September, had a receipt notice 30 days ago and check was already cashed in.

Thanks for sharing!

Mine is actually initial request. Maybe it's why my appt. is being pushed back?
Idk what they're doing with it but as I talked to them a week ago, I should be getting the letter no later than 28th of May. So we will see....
Who would knew getting an appt. letter would be this difficult...

Also thank you for your prayer!:)

I will update as soon as I get it!

Another update to share.

I received a letter from USCIS and I was hoping to get Biometrics app. letter.
Instead, it was a letter stating that I should make an Infopass app. to get further actions.

So I did and the earliest I could get was June 6th.
I wonder if I could still get Biometrics letter before Infopass date?
I'm so nervous... Since no one had an experience like mine.

I guess I'll have to wait until Infopass...

Looks like the OP who created this thread got his/her's around the 45th day mark, which would be next Friday for me. Hopefully the timeline is similar for yours as well (or lot sooner)

From seeing others timeline where people are getting bio appointments within days, even with an october expiration date, I'm now convinced that it's just luck of the draw and there's a fast lane pile / shitty pile in the processing center.

Which processing center was your packet sent to? Mine was sent to Nebraska and things seem to run timely so far.
