Anxiously awaiting advance parole approval. Please share your AP approval timeline.
 

Ok. So I applied for advance parole almost 6 weeks ago. They received my application on September 21,2016. I tried calling to have it expedited, but that was not approved. I'm getting anxious waiting for a decision, checking the USCIS website twice a day. I'm hoping I get approved before the end of the month because my trip is supposed to be for Dec 11. Please share your advance parole timeline, from application accepted to approval. I know every case is different, but Thank you for sharing your experience, to help me and others waiting, to help relieve some anxiety.

Wow @ pancho1 since August 2. You are on the 3 months mark. Have you called to inquire on the status of your application? That's way longer than any ones experience I've heard of? Hope you get it asap

I had tried one when the useless people at uscis lost my AP document (or more like never bother to send it) and they said someone must have died for them to do that.

I think emergency AP is only like if you have a death in the family. And if they wouldn't expedited my application, I doubt they will grant me emergency advance parole.

I have been waiting since August 26th. Was hoping to receive an answer eaely october but still nothing. My "planned" trip is Nov 11th but I'm going to have to postpone it till Decemver :/ I called already and they wont expedite my advance parole.

My reasons where for educational study abroad program. I hope it comes before my travel date, because my dates are not easily rescheduled. I would have to do a lot to reschedule my trip. And I'm not planning on having to pay money to reapply for different dates. I don't know why all of sudden it's taking extra long to process these advance parole application. Most previous post I've read, most people were approved with in 6 to 8 weeks. This process of waiting for USCIS to do there job is frustrating. Smh

Apply for another expedite! State a different reason this time and maybe try contacting the ombudsman to help you!

Yeah ive been waiting a while. If indont hear nothing ill call friday or monday :/

Im not traveling till december. But the AP document holds u back from moving with trip planning

Not really sure how they prioritize the workload. Or if it's done "first come first serve" deal. But I spoke to somebody today they sent their AP app September 29 and their documents were mailed yesterday.

That's good to hear at least someone is getting through, I'm going to pray that I can be that blessed. Do you know if they expedited there application?

Yes and no. They just put "expedite" at the top corner but never followed up on it. And they also applied with a travel date at the end of Nov (yes THIS month).

Wow. I wish I had done that put expedited on my application. But knowing that someone got there application approved that applied in September, gives me a little bit of hope. Hopefully ill hear something soon.

Btw do you know under what purpose did your friend apply? Humanitarian, educational, or work, related?

Filed under educational even though it has to do with her career. It's for a conference related to her field of work. She's a licensed Healthcare professional.

I'm an Licensed Practical Nurse and currently enrolled to Become an RN, just 2 courses away from that goal. So I applied for educational purposes for a healthcare study Abroad trip.

Is there any other way to check status of application? Besides the USCIS tracking. I tried creating an account but it did not let me.

I'm not 100/ sure but I think that is the only way to check your status unless u call to get an update. And as far as creating an account I did that with my daca application and all it does is set you up for a email or text for updates on your application, but they pretty much only tell you when they received your application to when a decision is made, and when a card is in production.

Nope, nothing yet. I've been waiting since August 26th. I called them up on Oct 5th to have it expedited it but I got a letter telling me an officer was reviewing my application and that I should receive an answer within 30 days. If not then I should call. It will be 30 days this Saturday and still nothing. I am planning on calling next week. My mom wants me to buy fligh tickets already but I dont want to because what if I dont get approved then I would just lose my money :/ so stressed out. Havent been sleeping much

I applied for AP on July 22nd and was approved 10/05. I received the documents on 10/14th. For the first time in 18 years I am going on an airplane and going to my home country for a week. I also started putting together my AOS packet to send off soon after I return.

Smh, we are all at the mercy of USCIS, I don't even know how or what order they process these things.

I'm sorry that USCIS is stressing with this annoying waiting process. I know how you feel constantly wondering when you are going to here back from them with an approval. If it helps, I would try to ease my worries a little because when you asked for your case to be expedited, they said someone would review it within 30 days, instead of flat out denying your request for an expedited application, like they did me. So if they are true to there word at least you know your application is being reviewed, and hopefully any day now you'll get an approval notice.

From what I know that is the right lockbox in Chicago. There is a slight difference in the address in you are express shipping address, but it all goes to Chicago. But from what I see most if not all are rerouted for processing in Nebraska.

Did you send in a form for email or text notification, if not it might take a little while to get notification by mail.

If you click the link to the USCIS website about mailing instructions for form i131 and you are absolutely sure you sent it to either one of the two addresses listed. I would definitely start investigating what happened to my application.

Idk, but if you don't hear anything by next week, I would see if your check or money order was cashed? Then I would call USCIS to see what they can tell you.

Hi, been watching this forum for some time and decided to post since I am also waiting anxiously for my AP.

I have similar timeline as yours, application received on Sept. 20th. I applied for humanitarian reason to visit my grandfather who has cancer. I requested expedition on my case but was rejected. Have you thought about making a second request? I wonder if that'll affect decision on our case?

I hope to get approved soon. But when I called for an expedited application. I found out that you can't make another request for expedition until 30 days after your last request. So I'm patiently waiting, hopefully I'll get an approval before I have to call again. What days did you put as your date to leave?
