i am legend alternate ending

wat u guys think..for those who saw the original theatre ending? |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
I think both endings dont make much sense. I mean what normal human would have opened that door and gone into that monster party?
He should have looked for a way to escape or at the very least the producer should of had the monster actually break through the glass, thereby forcing Will to frag himself. |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
horrible movie -the end!
|
Re: i am legend alternate ending
^ Says you.
Excellent book/idea, but poorly executed. |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
Man that was wack.
I lost the feeling that he was legend! The only thing i liked about this ending is the fact that the infected people were showing signs of humanity again...(i think?) Original ending was way cooler IMO. He actually became a legend... |

I was also disappointed with the movie. I absolutely loved the book though.

Re: i am legend alternate ending
Yeah alternate ending too cheezy.
I actually liked the movie. DAMN IT FRED!! |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
I'm glad they didn't go with the happy ending.
|
Re: i am legend alternate ending
Both endings sucked...I liked the movie but the ending just killed it.
|
Re: i am legend alternate ending
this ending is better than the original....HAHA
|
Re: i am legend alternate ending
This ending sucked. I liked the original one better. Its fitting that Will Smith died in to protect the cure that he spent three years trying to design.
Humans are the dominant species on this planet and its a zero-sum game in trying to ensure our survival. Imagine if penicillin was never invented or any of the other vaccines that eradicated Old World diseases, like polio, measles and small pox. |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
Will Smith was sexy in that movie.
NO HOMO:lol:( not that there is anything wrong with that) |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
WTF? I'm going to ban anyone who says the book was better than the movie. The movie was 10000x better than the book. Seriously, I don't need to read dozens of pages about some guy's insane desire to bang zombie women. TMI. At least the movie version of Robert Neville had a purpose; the book Robert Neville was just some random guy that didn't get the virus because of a random vampire bat bite he got while in Panama. WTF?
I Am Legend The Movie > I Am Legend The Book BTW: Does anyone else have the version of I Am Legend with the assorted short stories at the end? WTF is up with those? Half of the stories make no sense at all. |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
no ending is worse than the no country for old men ending...
|
Re: i am legend alternate ending
aww the poor zombie has feelings for his mate... the alternate ending = retaaaaaaaaaaarded. Funny how the leader of the zombies is portrayed as a "reasonable being," where he just leaves will smith alone after getting what he wants. In the original ending, he was just a ruthless monster.
Speaking of bad endings, here are some recent ones i've seen with terrible endings... Smoking Aces History of Violence Shooter |

Re: i am legend alternate ending
Can someone at least EXPLAIN why they liked the book? I'm really having a tough time figuring that one out.
Honestly, I think I Am Legend is one of the ONLY movies that is actually better than the book. The book: Robert Neville is a random guy that survived the attack because he was bitten by a vampire bat while he was in Panama during the war. ACTUALLY, that's what he ASSUMES. The book NEVER even goes into why he is immune. He spends his days drinking himself stupid, smashing glass after glass of whiskey while bitching and moaning about his wife that came back from the dead only to suck his blood. Then he says "I'm gonna straighten up". Don't be fooled, because the book Robert Neville is a dipshit loser who goes into this whole schpell about changing, never does, and then retreats back into his sorry state of drinking himself stupid and smashing glass after glass of whiskey. FINALLY, after a million pages of him ranting about wanting to screw zombie women (when he honestly could just beat it once in awhile to get over his insane horniness), he *changes* and isn't a drunken douche bag anymore. He learns about anatomy, biology, and chemistry, and tries to find a cure for the virus that, while noble, is a complete waste of time since he doesn't even know why he's doing it. It seems like it's just a pastime since he has nothing better to do with his life. Oh yeah, somewhere in between that ^, he finds a dog that he befriends and then the dog gets infected and dies after Neville's "antidote" didn't work. Whoopie. He then finds a zombie woman who betrays him into believing that she's just like him, a lonely survivor. He finds out, she beats him up, and then she leaves him a letter explaining the zombies' plot to take over the world and to kill him for killing their kind. She tells him to leave, he doesn't and then he takes a cyanide pill and dies. THE END. Movie Robert Neville (aka AWESOMEST GUY ON THE PLANET): So, to begin, Dr. Alice Krippin invents this vaccine to cure cancer and, wait for it...wait for it....., IT TURNS OUT TO BE THE DESTRUCTION OF ALL HUMANITY. Anyway, NYC is quarantined and Dr. Neville, a military virologist, not some random douche, wants to stay and cure it. Hear that? HE WANTED TO. He wasn't just put in the position because he was randomly immune and had nothing better to do. HE WANTED TO CURE THE DISEASE. He could've gone with his family to safety but no, the movie Robert Neville is the awesomest guy on the planet, so he stayed (and good that he did too because his family's helicopter got intercepted and crashed to the ground by a wayward helicopter seconds after it was taking off). He has this awesome dog, Sam, that should really be the role model for all dogs everywhere. Greatest dog EVAR. Movie: 1, Book: -100000. I'm not going to be a spoiler (even though I spoiled the book but who cares about the book anyway) so I won't mention the uber-awesome moments of the movie (which is pretty much all of it). I highly recommend everyone buying the DVD and NOT downloading it on the internet. The movie actually has moments of TRUE human emotion, instead of Neville wanting to desperately bang a zombie woman or think about his wife who, by his own fault BTW, became a zombie and wanted to suck his blood. There you have it, the true, unbiased report of both the movie and the book. If you haven't read the book, don't waste your time or money on it. Instead, buy the book Omega Man. KTHXBYE! (Yes, I am aware it was completely biased. I am merely giving my reasoning as to why the movie is a bajillion times better than the book, as no one has given me any response as to why the book was better. So, :-P). |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
^ "The movie is a bajillion times better than the movie"...bwahahaha
I'm not sure that Neville going into that store, talking to the people like they're actually alive, etc. was uber-awesomeness but ok... I'll tell you what, the AWESOMEST thing was the sound of that GT 500...oh man... Edit: oops forgot to give the reason. The point is that the movie strays from point of the book which is that Robert Neville becomes a legendary "boogeyman" (as a result of killing vampires and the infected still-living people) if you will, to the remaining vampire society. |
Re: i am legend alternate ending
LOL. Sorry, I had an accounting test I was supposed to be studying for while I wrote that long rant. XD Oops.
And I know "awesomest" isn't a word ;). I'm actually kind of confused why they named the movie "I Am Legend" when its closer to "Omega Man". However, if they had actually made a movie about the real book, there would've been NO PLOT whatsoever since Robert Neville was drunk during 85% of the book. |
