Your bridge act links are wrong. You listed the 114th congress bills. We are in the 115th congress now, and bills from the 114th are already dead. Here are the re-introduced bill.

The Enlist Act is the one I see as the most possible to pass. If it does, and that's the only choice, I will go to Army as a Carpentry and Mansory Specialist, since I have experience in both of them. It would suck because I would take a 20k paid cut comparing to my job now.

The Brigde Act is not a pass to citizenship, but more people would benefit from it than the Enlist Act, plus it sort of gives hope for a broader reform in the future.

Or Trump could just grandfathered all of us in DACA and let status quo stays.

Let's see what the future holds for us.

The enlist act won't pass the senate . It doesn't even have a senate version.

But after 4 years you're in a permanent status and you come back and do what job you want

That whole thing is ridiculous. You could die and you wouldn't even be a permanent resident yet.

True but that's the risk that some of us would take.

Wish I could, but I'm well past 30 now and legally blind without my glasses. Even if they did take me, I would be close to 40 by the time my 4 years was over. I might have tried it if this had passed when I was still in my early 20's, but it's not an option I would consider now. Still, I hope it passes for those of you that can and are willing to take advantage of the opportunity.

I don't mean to sound like a douchebag but "legally blind" means that no glasses prescription will make your visual acuity better than 20/200. So even without glasses you can't be legally blind.

Lol, sorry guess maybe legally blind was a poor choice of words. The rest is still true though.

I would enlist in a heartbeat if the Enlist Act were to be signed into law. I love this country, regardless of its president or party in control.

Bridge and Safe Act give Provisional Protected Presence.

While the Enlist act grants a Green Card after you are honorably discharged.

Probably will state that you need to kill at least 10 ISIS combatants while at the same time being severely wounded to make sure you made a sacrifice.

Not a fan of being forced to join the military to prove "loyalty". Vast majority of us would contribute much more to society in the civilian world.

Yea, I believe it is optional. More power to you if you think you will contribute more in the civilian world.

Second that... would've went to Army if I was younger 20s... now I am hitting 30s next year... I would only consider this if for some reason DACA is repealed and there's no job opportunity...

I remember Durbin saying there are more people interested in sponsoring, but in order to show bipartisan support they wanted to introduce them in pairs (republican & democrat cosponsor).

But why won't they all just say they sponsor? Why one day is one. ....another day is four....another day is six.
