What are your thoughts since all of the bills failed to pass the Senate today?
 

- What do you guys think? 2010 all over again? Do you think they will try to introduce something else before the March 5th deadline? What are your plans if nothing passes and Supreme court rescinds DACA?

-I have filed for renewal since my EAD expires in September. And I have a job until the end of July. I will most likely pack and leave if nothing happens by then and my EAD is not renewed... I am just worn out. Heck! I might leave even if my EAD is renewed. I am so tired of this.

I've been pessimistic about anything happening since December but I feel hopeful that my life will turn out fine.
I am not worried and if the worse happens I know I will figure something out.

First time applied I was rejected because of an old DUI (2007) foolish mistake $495
Second time I was accepted because I expunge my DUI. $495

then the post office lost my work permit.

I had to pay again re submit my paper work again $495

Finally received my work permit after a year.

I had my work permit for about 5 months then boom. I get a letter of termination!

Then my girl leaves me and doesn't want to get married.

So what are my thoughts? Life is a fucking bitch!

How do I feel worried,exhausted,depressed but at the end hopeful. I"m just thankful to be alive .

So I still continue to live. Donate blood & do charity work!

Name every negative human emotions and that's what we felt today.
We will get something to patch this wound, but I don't know when or what we'll be getting. For now, renew your EAD and see how things unfold. Meanwhile do whatever you can to get you legalized.
I'm looking into i-601a waiver program so I can get a proper visa.

Wasn't surprised but still felt pretty down today that yet again we have no clear resolution to this...

I am struggling to find a path forward in terms of what I want to accomplish in this country. Mostly feels like I'm just working to pay bills and nothing else, like being on autopilot. I am appreciate of still being able to work/drive however I want to accomplish more, yet under this cloud of uncertainty I am lost.
Definitely not how I wanted to be by this point.

But tomorrow is a new day, we'll see how that goes.

I don't feel even a tad dissappointed or sad. I was completely expecting this. Since December last year, it was clear that there was no interest to help us.

I will feel dissappointed if the Supreme Court strikes down the injunction reinstating DACA before my renewal is approved or if they void our work permit after it's approved. That's when I'll leave.

yep, numb is the word. There wasn't even a sign today that it will go our way. the Dems pissed all the way after the shutdown. I'm hoping the new work permit will work out for another 2 years, and I will get married during that. and when i have political power, i will work my best to vote them out. I will be a political activist.

Honestly... I fell like we will be fine in one form or another. All of this has too much attention for it to truly go bad (i.e. all Dreamers lose everything and are deported).

I just hope my renewal gets approved so I can buy some time (possible up to 2 years) and get my license and work as a pharmacist. I will be graduating in 3 months and gotta do paperwork for my job offer soon, but my EAD expires on August. I also have a gf who will become USC in couple months and we are planning future together yet I haven't had a chance to tell her about my status yet lol

I dont even know what to do, my career is so dependent on my ability to be in the US legally, my career is going down the drain in 2020 when my EAD expires. I just dont see a point to life anymore.

After nothing happening in December I was half expecting this. If there’s no action by mid March im planning on doing a graceful exit. I’ve been here for almost 19 years and still feel unwanted and unappreciated, hard to plan a life when we don’t know what’s going to happen in the next month or two! I’m just too tired of all this uncertainty and refuse to give my best working years to a country that is still unwilling to accept me.

I called my mom crying at work after the last bill was dead. She told me to stop acting selfish. Her exact words echo in my head.

She said:

"Did you not think of us? America sympathizes with you, they invested in you, they won't let you go. They will make you guys mental by leaving you in limbo, but they won't let you go.But us, one step wrong and it's all over. Stop being so selfish, you have DACA there are ppl out there who don't. We made a choice and you had to pay the consequence. We know you're struggling, but child we did what we thought was good for our family. They call you Dreamers, but we , the parents who brought you here are the original dreamers. We dreamed our children would live lives happier than ours. We had dreams for you before we knew you. You have your education, if this country doesn't want you, forget it go to another one. But I don't think it will come to that child. They want you here, I have faith something with work out for you. For now live you're life, be happy, pray and have faith that God will take care of you. And also know that you have our prayers to protect you. You need not worry about anything child."

This calmed me down dramatically. I was able to get thru the rest of the work day and overtime meetings. The power of a parents words.
