Republicans mull plan to extend DACA

Link: http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/se...rticle/2649251

Republicans said the failure of the four bills has pointed them in a new direction. They will instead consider extending the DACA program for several years in a provision that would be included in the fiscal 2018 spending bill that must pass by March 23

What I am afraid of is that if they extend DACA for several years the next time they try to address a permanent solution they will put an age cap again and most of us will be aged out. It puts more pressure on some of us to get married :(

Omg... If they bring back DACA with a deadline I know what they're up to. Not good man.

Im with you there. Both parties cant do anything because both are corrupted.
We cant group all Democrats as "good" because there's one or two that are on our side. At the end of the day, they are still politicians. They dont look out for the country and its citizens. They look out for their own pockets and job security. I would say most of them are pathetic cowards who don't truly fight for what they believe in.

If we get the extension the only thing left for us is to save up money like crazy and head over to another country with all the cash we make out of here. And those with college lpans and shit will just leave and leave those debts unpaid and everyone gets screwed over!.....

Exactly. If they bring DACA back, their plan was to have us self deport. And of course theyll get the wall and the immigration changes to go with it "in exchange" for that bullshit. Fucking bastards, why would they do this to us. To use us as examples? I dont want to believe it man. Idk..

Dicks, if they're willing to extend DACA why not give us citizenship in exchange for border security?

I guess it's going to be Flake's bill? DACA extension with $10b border security?

I wish people could understand how bad we need this. As long as I can work and earn a living. That's all me personally ask for, no handouts, ill do community service for crying out loud.

If they're going to just end DACA, at least get rid of that 10 year ban for DACA people so we can at least "go back to end of the line"?

We will all be on a clear path to US citizenship after 10 years of conditional permanent residency...but it will be when we are in our 50s and 60s...I guess becoming a US citizen by 70 is still better late than never I suppose...right?...

Lol fuck that...marriage it is...

There wont be any more line if they get what they want. They'll only allow doctors, scientists and engineers in the country from then on.

^This. I am applying to medical school next year and need to at least be able to show them that I will be able to attend rotations, apply to residency, etc.

Extending DACA will be to pacify the moderates in the caucus. Remember quite a number of them brought up the fact that midterms will not go well for Republicans in swing districts if they are confronted at town halls and their constituents are bombarded with images of DREAMers being deported. They most certainly can add the border funding without addressing a DACA extension, but have decided to do this.

It's something...but might as well be nothing at the same time. I don't even know anymore. :|

While this is true, and as much as I regret not doing so before Trump, I still don’t recommend it for anyone. Not even the ones I hate here.
