Democrats are saying that DACA is not worth it and don’t want to include in talks. Many Hispanics will be coming over to the Republican side, watch!

The building of the Wall on the Southern Border will bring down the crime rate throughout the entire Country!

I’m in the White House, waiting. The Democrats are everywhere but Washington as people await their pay. They are having fun and not even talking!

This is good. Puts some pressure on dems to negotiate. It also sounds like Trump himself might want to talk DACA right now (instead of waiting for SC decision).

POTUS just wants to make Democrats look bad.

Last year's tweet.

@realDonaldTrump

Republicans want to fix DACA far more than the Democrats do. The Dems had all three branches of government back in 2008-2011, and they decided not to do anything about DACA. They only want to use it as a campaign issue. Vote Republican!

It's a little bit different this time. We're currently in the longest shutdown in history. Trump so far has made no indication of any concessions. All he's done so far is call his wall "a steel barrier/fence" instead of a concrete wall. This is the first sign of any real concession so far.

If he really wants to do something with DACA, then he could just ask McConnell to add 5.6 Billion for the wall plus a DACA fix (Bridge Act, USA Act, ABC ACT whatever!) to one of the bills that the House passed last week and bring it to floor of the Senate floor. And then dare the Democrats to not to vote on it. Otherwise, talk is cheap.... We also know that he is a full time troll.... So, I am not too excited about it...

He wants what he wants. No compromise, a bill like that wouldn't pass. If I were him. I'd make senate vote on CIR from 2013 that Schumer introduced. Check mate.

Miller would never agree to a CIR bill. Trump and pence were the same people who shot down Graham’s compromise attempts this past Thursday. Trump can’t be trusted to stick to anything!

President Trump on Sunday hit Democrats for their hesitance to include protections for beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in talks to end a prolonged government shutdown, despite his own administration's insistence that the program be left out of negotiations.

Yet , posters on here will blame Dems for this .

When the Republicans took over the house in 2011, they pledged to make Obama a one term president. They said no to everything he asked... The Democrats are trying to do the samething. I hate the far right and the far left. USA Act or Dream Act for the wall is a good comprimise. However, it will bever happen because the crazies on the far right or far left will blow it up. I am so sick of this shit.

Democrats already gave Trump a win on prison reform, why can't they give DACAs a win instead of criminals a win. Why does trump not just go ahead and add USA act to his border proposal?

Trump is the worst negotiator ever, and would've starved by now if this were any other nation in the world and he were not rich. He is a scraper, he has scraped by life coasting off daddy's riches and via sheer luck.

His incompetence is so high, that sometimes the universe lets him have a win cause it feels PITY.

Have you been paying attention? Trump had a deal on the wall for 25 billion in exchange for the dream act. Far leftists did not kill this deal, Miller, Kelley, Coulter, ingraham, Hannity, trump killed it. How is the left to blame here? They can’t even negotiate in good faith because trump lets the far right lead the negotiations. He’s their puppet and a weak president.

Trump need to stop tweeting about DACA fix and get to work. He is all talk no action. Trump need to ask Mitch McConnell to put DACA fix (not 3 year extension bullshit) into the budget bill and bring it up for a vote in the Senate. The Democrats will vote for it because if they vote against it, they become the one shutting down the government.

If Trump actually want the deal, he needs to stop tweeting and blaming the Democrats. After what happened last time, no one will trust him. For all we know, he might turn around and blame Democrats for shutting down the government for illegals. He need to have a bill that Democrats can vote on, not talk talk talk.

I wasn't sure if Trump was really lying or telling the truth when he expressed compassion for our situation way back in 2016. He supposedly changed his mind after meeting with some dreamers during the campaign and (according to "Fire and Fury") was genuinely empathetic.

The problem is he 180'd on a compromise when Breitbart shamed him for it and Miller/Bannon, then Kelly advised him against any relief for dreamers.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think he's waiting for SCOTUS to strike it down so that Dems lose any leverage for a deal. He'll ask to end birthright citizenship, or the RISE Act in exchange for us which they obviously won't agree to.

We're going to lose DACA if that happens and they won't agree to a permanent fix (if the last 18 years are any indication). They'll probably rationalize with "they won't be deported unless they commit a serious crime" and others will point out that we aren't young anymore.

Right before @POTUS tweeted this, @ScottJenningsKY on @CNNSotu proposed DACA & DREAMers for border wall $ as a way out of this impasse, and @RepGutierrez said if he were still in Congress he’d vote for it. https://t.co/JtypHGSc32

Trump wants Dems to make this offer, but if Dems do and it fails Trump will be the first to post on Twitter “Dems wants to give Illegals amnesty in exchange of the wall”

We should know better how that sack of crap do things.

Plus, if Dems offer a DACA fix for the all, he will try to add the 4 pillars.

I can only see this going forward if Trump and the GOP themselves include DACA in the talks

Dem's strategy:

- get republican to talk about DACA for wall first if government is still shutdown
or
- open government, fund DHS for 3 weeks and discuss DACA for wall

both options are to avoid blame for government shutdown. I think they're dug in on these positions simply for the fact that they do not want to get blamed again for this shutdown.

Trump is baiting dems to talk about DACA first with that tweet. Smart guy.
