Getting a SSN in CA?
Hi, I'm 17 years old and I have been approved for DACA for a while, but now will get a SSN.
So I just went on the social security website and used their SS office locator and found one around the area. Can anyone with experience tell me exactly what I need to bring? I will bring the EAD card, passport, and some of the letters from USCIS, along with the completed form; is this the correct one? https://www.socialsecurity.gov/online/ss-5.pdf Here there are some requirements I'm not sure about: https://www.socialsecurity.gov/ssnumber/ss5doc.htm immigration status--I was entrance without inspection so how do show that? And what is the "interview" they are talking about? Thank you. I am just a bit nervous as I was when I went for the biometrics. |

Also, do I need to make an appointment or can I just walk in?
And do I just tell them I am undocumented but DACA approved? |

Re: Getting a SSN in CA?
I might as well just leave it blank and ask tomorrow at the office, but what would I put for "CITIZENSHIP"? Not a "Legal Alien Allowed to Work" so would I put "Other"?
