Hello all,

I'm awake and starting to make a batch of calls. I'm making this new thread for everyone to post real-time updates of the DREAM Act and CSPAN's Senate coverage. Any relevant articles to the bill's passage and/or information regarding all efforts to secure the bill's passage should be posted here.

Lately, people have been posting updates all over the place or making new threads. Its challenging to read all the threads so if everybody would, please post here.

It probably won't happen.

I already see the Biden vote taking a chunk of the day and probably the remainder will be spent on Liebermen/Kyl. We also have the Hate Crimes amendment that's been pending for a while as well as a potential CHIP vote.

It doesn't look good.

Pending Amendment
 

The pending amendment on the Senate floor right now is the Hate Crimes Amendment. This amendment is currently on the floor and pending discussion and a vote. This means that this will be the first amendment debated when Senate resumes consideration of H.R. 1585.

Currently, the Senate is in Morning Business and there has been no time set for the end of Morning Business.

Did they skip the Biden and Lieberman/Kyl amendments?

I have no idea. Senator Gordon Smith just said that Hate Crimes was pending on the floor. I can't get through to the offices of Levin/Durbin/Reid for any update on which amendments are up next.

The person I'm focusing on is Levin because as Chairman of Armed Svcs. Committee, he would know which amendments are going to be debated, voted or up for debate.

Numbers USA list
 

Senator Martinez has been added to the NumbersUSA list of Senators confirmed to vote against the DREAM Amendment. I believe that brings the list to 22 Senators.

Damn martinez is a mean asshole. He knows very well there won't be any CIR till late in 2009 but he still doesn't want to help us out. :evil:

oh well, if they bring it up as a stand alone bill people will object and if they try to attach it people will object. Frankly i'm just disgusted at republicans. :twisted:
