Anyone a Notary Public in Florida?
Applying for a new job and one of the requirements is that I must become a Notary Public within 3 months of employment. That would be no problem except for DACA and that grey area of legal resident/lawful presense etc so any DACAs in Florida that are Notaries?

Re: Anyone a Notary Public in Florida?
It says here:
May I become a Florida Notary if I am not a U.S. citizen? Yes, you may become a Notary if you submit a recorded Affidavit of Domicile from the county clerk of the county in which you reside. Here's what the form looks like Nothing in there about USC or LPR status. It looks like they use the IRS definition of "resident" - did you live more than 180 days in Florida last year? Did you pay Florida taxes? If you did, you're a resident. |

Yes I read that stuff but still just want tangible proof in the form of someone’s experience

Re: Anyone a Notary Public in Florida?
Why don't you swing by the county clerk's office and get the affidavit? They will be able to answer all your questions.
Also - your job depends on it.. So go do it! |
