Doing TAXES for the 1st Time
So this is my First Year Working....
HOW are TAxes DDONE?? |
Re: Doing TAXES for the 1st Time
your employer should give you a W2 form. that's really all you need to file your taxes. You can give that to a tax professional, or file it on your own using TurboTax, TaxAct, etc.
I used TaxAct and completed in 30 mins. |
Re: Doing TAXES for the 1st Time
If this is the very first year you're working then you can't file a retun until next year. This tax season people are filing a return for 2012 and 2009. Please visit a VITA site or local accounting firm don't go to HR BLOCK or any of those places.
You are usually issued a W2 by the employer and receive it around Late Janurary it all depends. If attending school you should also receive the 1098T. You might receive other foms but you'll know they're tax related because it says so on them. |
Re: Doing TAXES for the 1st Time
Why would you not recommend going to H&R Block?

Re: Doing TAXES for the 1st Time
Lol, what's bad with turbo tax? Hmm you need to be an accountant to use it correctly lol,but the free version is pretty straight forward.
Actually I dont think it's that bad unless you are trying to write off a bunch of shit. I would buy a new laptop every year and 2 ipads that i wrote off as school expenses lol. |
