Everything is going to be fine

They are not going to pull the rug from under us. Guys, we are so deep in the system now that it makes no sense, financial or moral, to throw us back in the shadows. DACA is just a card politics use to negotiate, hence all the drama. Eventually we will be fine. This is not like the Muslim ban. We are here and semi-legal already, they aren't. I have spent my whole life scared, frightened of things that could happen, might happen, might not happen; 16 years I spent like that, finding myself awake at three in the morning. But you know what? Ever since Trump was elected, I sleep just fine. What I came to realize is that fear, that’s the worst of it. That’s the real enemy. So, get up, get out in the real world and you kick that bastard as hard you can right in the teeth.

It's pretty nice optimism, but the Trump admin has cancelled TPS for Haitains who've been in the country in the 2010 earthquake. They've been here legally longer and are "deeper" than us. You don't hear much hub-bub about them, do you?

The T stands for Temporary.

"The justification from the administration for ending the protections has been that by law, when the conditions from the original disaster that triggered the protections have improved, they must expire. DHS has been clear that it does not believe it can look at the totality of conditions in the country to factor in its decision making."

I'm glad you got out of your depression

You optimism is a breath of fresh air but everyone still needs to be realistic. There is a better than 50/50 chance that we will lose our protection and our ability to work in the united states. If this happens, then whats the use of stay in this country.

I am not saying that everyone should live in fear, but you should at least, prepare for the worst case scenario. Don't rely on congress resolving this issue when they have failed for decades to do so. Have plan a, b, c, d, or whatever else it takes.

Need to renew one more time. Then I’ll go to Canada when it expires.
