I have to write a paper on a company or product and talk about their social responsibility and their international status. I can easily go for Apple, Google, Microsoft etc., but I want to actually learn something.

Any suggestions? Any new up and coming competition for the aforementioned companies?

Well, I'm not a business major. I suggest Samsung, you can write about the complex relationship between Samsung and Apple. Amazon is also a good one I think.

You can approach this in a few ways:

1. you can talk about an international behemoth that has a giant footprint in nearly every single country, or

2. talk about a large domestic company that has powerful ambitions to break into an international market. This one is easier I think, because you can go in depth about the challenges they face, the pressures, and even throw in a few recommendations (based on what similar, successful firms did or something along those lines).

circasurvive, last night I decided to go with Whole Foods because of their good reputation. I think it fits into your second suggestion.
