Does anyone here rent a room?
 

Hey everyone. I was wondering if any of you rent a room outside your parents' home.

The problem is that I'm 23 right now and well I don't have a room at home. It's hard to have privacy in a home with 5 people. I am going to get a part time job regardless in a couple of weeks but I was thinking since renting a room is much cheaper than an apartment, I can do that. Does anyone here rent a room? I can't afford to pay rent for a whole apartment and utilities, so I was hoping for some advice from you guys :)

Check the housing section in craigslist, generally a room is half the cost of an apartment. If you can find a cool roommate go for it!

Edit: Also keep in mind the other option (apartment) can be cheaper depending on neighborhood etc, but it's also tricky because some landlords will not accept you without a credit history, and a good one at that.
