Introduction/help needed

Hello everyone!

I am trying to help my fiance, who as far we know doesnt have any options..Like a story I read earlier she was brought here at a very young age..where it gets sticky though..is because she has no immediate family here we dont have any records or proof. The aunt she was brought over here with died years ago and with her i think went anything that could be used to help her..shes 25 now, graduated HS and all and wants to go to college. We assume her aunt brought her here on a plane using her cousin's(who at the time and still is a lpr) p.p. However like i said earlier we dont know..for all we know she may have been born here since we dont have any family we can contact for her.Knowing that we dont have much on our side, weve just been together the last three years researching. In the mean time though, no driving, work etc. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions? (i am a citizen btw)

I would also like to wish all of you sucess in this current legislation! (heres praying to god it passes!)

Hi and welcome!

Even if she doesn't have proof of when she entered... has she gone to school here? Has she been to the hospital? You can use transcripts and medical records as proof of how long she has been here. I'm guessing she was brought here when she was a baby because you don't even know if she was born here.

Since the DREAM Act requires you to have lived here 5 or more years... if she even has records of the last 5 years, she will be ok.

Thanks again for joining and stick around!

Yes she has gone to school here...pretty sure k-12. We at least have school records (definitely older than 5 years since shes 25). Speaking of medical records..can she even go to a hospital? I know of course we would have to pay the rate w/o insurance but is this dangerous? Honestly whether it passes or not, luckily im able to take care of her but i get so scared of her getting sick..I know she is dying for this to pass but my main concern is for her health
