Sibling Petition

My sister is a USC and is petitioning my parents. Her husband's brother works with ICE and told her that soon there will be a way that would allow her to petition her siblings (my sisters and me) in one year instead of the 10 that it takes now. I don't know if it'd be a rules change within USCIS or an actual law enacted, most probably the former.

I've googled for information but have come up empty. I wondering if anyone has heard something similar from either lawyers or on the grapevine

Can't your sister ask her husband for more details?

I don't think that will be the case, I hope it will be, but I don't think so. If it does happen then I guess my dad (a USC) will be able to get me a green card in 6 months instead of the 16 years it takes now. But, yeah tell your sister to ask her husband for more details.

Re: Sibling Petition

Considering USCIS is currently processing F-4 cases with a priority date of 2000 (since the December 2010 visa bulletin, it has retrogressed TWO WHOLE YEARS, that's a huge huge huge setback) I highly doubt this will ever be possible. They would have to make 11 years' worth of visas available at an extremely rapid pace and that doesn't sound logical to me.
