Any RN or RN students from Texas?

Are there any RNs or Nursing students here that have either been through or are going through nursing school in Texas? I need some help. Here's my situation and questions.....

I already have a bachelor's degree in Finance. I want to work towards a CRNA but I have to get a bachelor's degree in nursing first. If you've been through the process how did you do it? Did you go through an accelerated program(preferable)? Where you able to apply for instate tuition?
Any other tips will be of great assistance.

If you graduated from a Texas high school you will receive in state tuition. I got my bachelors through a traditional 2 year program. The one year programs are very demanding and don't allow you to do much besides school. I had to work and did not already have a bachelors so my only option was a traditional program. If you can afford to dedicate a whole year to only school I would go for the fast track program. Especially since most CRNA programs ask for a year or two of critical care experience.

10dream thanks for the response..... I did graduate from a texas high school. I want to get through it as quickly as possible that's why I'm considering the accelerated program. I'm assuming we wont qualify for any traditional financial assistance right? Any accelerated programs in the houston area you recommend? Again thanks for the tips!
