Yes actually. Republicans offered nothing and wanted to end chain migration which would have done a lot more harm in the long run. The best move was to walk away.

Clean Dream Act doesn't mean everybody gets legal or else. It just means to stick to the spirit of the original Dream Act - Provide a path to legal status and citizenship to Dreamers.
