Re: Military EA

Spanish is not in the qualifying language list.

Re: Military EA

Spanish is not and will not be one unless specifically added to benefit us(DACA recipients).
Skills needed besides language are basically all medical school related plus a couple of specialized nursing positions.
Maybe therapy related can't remember.
So most positions needed will be language related.
Even if we pursue those non language positions needed to get in, requirement might change for the next MAVNI cycle.

Anyone know when this starts being implemented? I've been getting conflicted answers.

It makes it seem like it's already been approved but I'm sure the military procedures are not up to date.
I would talk to recruiters, if nothing then call a number on the army website. Definitely go through the steps needed if you're interested. You can always opt out mid way.

It says with the next fiscal year (so Oct 1st 2014, though as we all know US government likes to take its time to implement stuff like that). But if we are to believe what the article says then they have been hammering out the details for a while, possible they wanted to make everything ready before they made it public.

I ordered an info packet from the army so far. I'll let you guys know what's in it.

I'm amazed there's little if any coverage by any major outlets of this. You'd think the antis would be hitting their war drums and making their misspelled signs by now.

Guys, look what I found. It's a memo from the Department of Defense re-extending MAVNI and authorizing enlistment of DACA holders:
