Question about SSN

I received my SSN today after waiting exactly 2 business days!!!!!! On to business... In the card it says for work only so is it ok to use it for school records, getting a credit card, etc? Thank you in advance.

I applied for social security 3 weeks ago and I haven't receive anything I called and they said they Haven't give me a number yet because immigration has not check my eligible !!! it that normal? or shoul I be worry?
