Accepted to UIUC, but...

I was accepted at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, but I don't know if I'll be able to go. I applied as an International Student, since that's pretty much my only option. I'm a high school senior, and live in Illinois. Do any of you know if the Illinois Dream Act will help me out at all?

why would you apply as an international? then you'll have to pay out of state fee.

I applied as an international to my uni as well.

However, I went to the residency office and told them about my situation and they fixed my status there.

It may be a giant monolithic bureaucracy, but you do deal with people at the lowest level!

Get in touch with the residency officer right away.

Sometimes you need to apply as an international and then go to the school and talk to admissions.

Woah you should not have applied as international, but it's alright contact admissions and tell them you're a dreamer and they should give you in state tuition, and I think the Illinois dream act can give you 7500 a year? I'm not sure. Good luck!
