LAPD Declares Unlawful Assembly After DACA Supporters Block Traffic on Wilshire Blvd.

The protest, at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue, took place on the same day that eligible recipients under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program have to file to renew their status.

I wonder if this will help the cause, probably not with corporate LA workers going to work.

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook. Without knowing what it was, he said.. 'This isn't the way to do it. Be mad at politicians and protest the ones who refuse to change law. They lost me as a supporter. Don't mess with regular people to try to get your point across. Go after politicians who are against the cause.'

It's clear some of these people aren't really fighting for the cause, they just want to be seen a 'fuck the establishment, give me my photo op with cops arresting me so I can say I was for the people.' Fuck off.

Protesters did the same thing back in 2010 or whatever year when they were bringing DREAM Act to vote.

I don't think blocking traffic is the way to garner support for your cause, all you're accomplishing is pissing people off.

These people just do no get it. Damn.

Part of me wants a vote on a damn clean bill to happen, so these dudes understand a clean bill or CIR is just not possible right now. Reality needs to hit them in the ass, so they come to their damn senses.

Someone let the oblivious, ignorant, try-hard troll on Twitter known as @bitterillegal to shut up or get out. She’s not helping anyone. If she wants to self-deport and take her family with her for the sake of unity? Have at it.
